India now hosts 2,117 GCCs employing more than 2.36 million professionals. What has changed is the work itself. Complex problem-solving is up to 38.1 percent. The AI talent pool inside GCCs has nearly doubled since 2023 to a projected 250,000, second only to the US. In Q1 2026, GCCs took 9.1 million sq ft, which is 44 percent of all office leasing in the country.
