RPG Group Chairman Harsh Goenka has publicly praised Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe for his strict enforcement against food safety violations. In a post on X, Goenka said that Mumbai had long appeared to have “two rulebooks” one for ordinary citizens and another for influential people. He said that if Mundhe was proving this perception wrong by ensuring equal enforcement of rules, Maharashtra should protect officers like him. Goenka further said that nothing restores public faith faster than seeing powerful people being treated the same way as everyone else. He added that public faith can be damaged when officers responsible for such action are transferred, expressing hope that the situation would be different this time. Known for his strict administrative approach, Mundhe has been transferred numerous times during his IAS career. He recently said that his primary objective as FDA Commissioner is to serve the people of Maharashtra and ensure safe food, while also building systems that continue to function beyond any individual officer. Goenka's remarks have added to the growing public discussion around Mundhe's enforcement drive and the need to support officers taking tough decisions in the interest of public safety and accountability. #harshgoenka #tukarammundhe #iasofficer #maharashtra #foodsafety #fda #governance #accountability #publictrust #india

  • Karnataka has launched 2,222 KEO AI PCs under a Made-in-Karnataka initiative aimed at making advanced technology and AI-powered learning more accessible to students, especially in rural areas. KEO, which stands for Knowledge-driven, Economical and Open-source, is designed to provide students with on-device AI capabilities and digital learning tools, reducing their dependence on expensive devices and access to urban technology infrastructure. Under the initiative, eight AI-enabled computers each will be deployed at two Model Arivu Kendras across all 239 taluks, while 10 units each will be installed across 31 Model Residential Schools. The initiative was launched by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar in the presence of Ministers K H Muniyappa, Eshwar Khandre and Priyank M Kharge, along with industry leaders Kris Gopalakrishnan and Prashanth Prakash. Speaking about the vision behind the initiative, Shivakumar said Karnataka aims to ensure that its leadership in technology translates into opportunities for every student and citizen across the state. The KEO AI PC initiative is another step towards expanding access to AI and digital education beyond major cities and making advanced technology available to students in underserved communities. #karnataka #ai #artificialintelligence #technology #education #digitallearning #edtech #madeinkarnataka #innovation #ruraleducation

India’s food safety regulator, FSSAI, has proposed introducing prominent warning labels on packaged food products. Under the proposed rules, companies may have to display warnings such as “High Sugar”, “High Salt” and “High Fat” in a large, clearly visible red font on the front of the packaging. The move aims to help consumers quickly understand what they are eating and make more informed choices while buying packaged foods. If implemented, the proposal could change how many popular food and beverage products are labelled and marketed in India. #fssai #foodsafety #packagedfood #health #nutrition #consumerawareness #india

Andhra Pradesh is making a major push to build a stronger private space-tech ecosystem in the state. The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted around 300 acres of land to Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace at ₹5 lakh per acre in the proposed Space City near Tirupati, Minister Nara Lokesh said. At the allotted rate, the 300-acre land parcel is worth around ₹15 crore, giving Skyroot a large base to expand its operations and rocket manufacturing capabilities. Lokesh said the state government had backed Skyroot several months ago, expressing confidence in the company's leadership and its potential to become an important part of Andhra Pradesh's Space City plans. As part of the expansion, Skyroot plans to build its launch vehicles in Andhra Pradesh, while the rockets will be launched from Sriharikota, creating a potential manufacturing-to-launch ecosystem in the state. Skyroot has already made a mark in India's private space sector. In 2022, its Vikram-S became the first privately developed Indian rocket to reach space. The development comes as India's space sector opens up to more private companies, with startups working across launch vehicles, satellites, propulsion and other space technologies. Andhra Pradesh is also building a wider aerospace and defence ecosystem, with investments and infrastructure aimed at attracting companies operating in high-tech manufacturing. With its proximity to Sriharikota, the proposed Space City and growing government support, Tirupati could soon become an important destination for India's growing private space industry. #andhrapradesh #skyroot #tirupati #spacetech #space #spaceindustry #privatespace #aerospace #startups #indianstartups #isro #sriharikota #innovation #defence #india

Subhash Chandra, the founder of Zee, has made fresh claims about a meeting he had with Mukesh Ambani in a released video. According to Chandra, he approached Ambani at a time when he was facing significant debt and told him to buy Zee, as he needed to repay his loans. Chandra claimed that Ambani advised him, “Why are you repaying banks with interest? Nobody does that.” He further alleged that Ambani later attempted to acquire Zee through Invesco, one of Zee’s former investors. According to Chandra, the proposed offer would have been beneficial for his family but was not in the best interests of Zee’s minority shareholders, which is why he refused it. Reliance has rejected Chandra’s allegations, describing them as a “fake narrative.” Source: Zee Business Zee24taas #subhashchandra #mukeshambani #reliance #zee #invesco #businessnews #corporatenews #india

Zee founder Subhash Chandra is set to pay just ₹6.5 crore against claims of his approved personal-guarantor resolution plan repayment structure, according to reports and details circulating around the case. The case has sparked a wider debate around India’s debt recovery system and the difference in experiences of small entrepreneurs and large corporate borrowers. Entrepreneur and True Logistics & Company (TLC) founder shared his own experience from the early days of building his logistics business. “When my business was in its initial days, the revenue obviously wasn't always enough to repay every debt and vehicle EMI on time. I had taken loans for my vehicles, and even a single delayed EMI could trigger continuous calls from bank agents.” Farooqui said the pressure sometimes went beyond phone calls, "along with repeated calls, there would sometimes be office visits too. The amount of pressure and harassment a small entrepreneur can face over just one delayed EMI is unbelievable.” He said seasonal slowdowns in logistics made the situation even more difficult, "everyone in logistics knows that business can slow down during the monsoon season. There were times when I personally went to the bank and informed them in advance that I needed an exemption or temporary relief for just two or three months.” According to him, the response was, "we were told that if we couldn't continue the payments, we should deposit the vehicle in the bank's godown.” Farooqui believes the issue goes beyond one corporate case, "the law may have its provisions, but the experience of debt recovery feels completely different for a small entrepreneur compared to a large corporate borrower. A delayed EMI can turn your life upside down when you're small.” He added, "when you're trying to build a business, you need some breathing room during difficult periods. Small entrepreneurs shouldn't have to face overwhelming pressure over temporary cash-flow problems.” EDITOR’S NOTE / CLARIFICATION:⚠️🚨 The headline refers to ₹22,006 crore in admitted claims in Subhash Chandra’s personal-guarantor insolvency proceedings. It should not be interpreted as ₹22,006 crore of personal loans being fully settled for ₹6.5 crore. We would also like to clarify that Logistics Startup TLC's founder never stated that ₹22,006 crore in bank loans had been settled for ₹6.5 crore. His comments in the post were based on his personal experience as an entrepreneur dealing with delayed EMIs and debt recovery, and reflected his personal opinion on the challenges and pressure faced by small business owners. This clarification is being added to make it clear that this post is not intended to target or harm the reputation or image of any individual or organisation. The purpose is only to share a broader discussion and perspective around the challenges faced by entrepreneurs. #SubhashChandra #Debt #Loans #EMI #Entrepreneurship #Founders #Logistics #TLC
