The manufacturing sector grew by 9.2% in April-June, up from 8.3% in the same quarter last year, while the tertiary sector — or services — expanded 10%, higher than 8% a year ago, data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) on Monday showed. Given the sensitivity of future supplies of polymer banknotes, the companies have been made to fill an integrity pact; a confidentiality contract; a no-agent pact and an undertaking that they will firewall their operations in India from those they may have in China and Pakistan.
