“Creativity and entrepreneurship have always been crucial to the survival and progress of human societies. This is even more true today, as consolidation for economy of scale has reduced industries to only a limited number of giant multinationals. Unlike most of the 20th century, today's large multinationals seldom have their own innovation roadmaps executed inside the company. Instead, they prefer to acquire, at much higher costs, startups and SMEs that have already demonstrated technology breakthroughs. Consequently, there is an increasing need for innovative startups to keep on feeding various industries. In turn, to generate the number of required technology startups, it is essential to embed creativity and entrepreneurial behavior into the educational system for the next generations. I have known Kausik for more than 20 years. In this period, he has worked at/with large multinationals as well as developing his own businesses. He has always been the type of a person who brings people and technologies together to solve problems. In recent years, his focus has been on the development of a structured system to assess and develop entrepreneurial behavior in students as well as engineering communities. His ETQ concept serves exactly this purpose. ETQ is quite a novel and yet a practical system. ”
