Rahman Kazmi shared thisExciting news! I’ve long admired Atomberg’s insightful approach to indigenous innovation. Looking forward to seeing what Voltas and Atomberg can create together for India:)Rahman Kazmi shared thisIPO-bound consumer appliances startup Atomberg Technologies has joined hands with Tata-owned Voltas Limited - A TATA Enterprise to manufacture compressors for room air conditioners (ACs) in India.👏 In a statement, Voltas said that it has signed a binding term sheet with Atomberg’s B2B subsidiary, Atomberg Innovation Private Limited (AIPL), to form a joint venture (JV) to develop, manufacture and supply room AC compressors and other allied parts. “The proposed joint venture is intended to undertake the development, manufacturing, and supply of air conditioner compressors, with a strong emphasis on high energy efficiency, operational reliability, cost competitiveness, and progressive localisation,” said Voltas in a statement. The partnership will look to leverage Voltas’ 30,000 touch points and expertise in areas such as manufacturing, product and supply chain. On the other hand, Atomberg Innovation will bring to the table its capabilities in compressor technology, engineering and product design 🔗Read the full article here- https://4-2.co/4gbwkfz #Inc42 #IPO #Atomberg #Voltas #JV #startups

Rahman Kazmi shared thisInspiring to read the story behind the story. The journey from doubt to leadership is truly remarkable:)Rahman Kazmi shared this𝟐𝟓 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬: 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 – 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟏𝟗 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬 | 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 Some of the most enduring lessons from my 25 years at Voltas came from journeys I was fortunate enough to witness. The RAC turnaround was one of them. When I joined Voltas in 2001, our Room Air Conditioner business was struggling. Over ₹100 crore in accumulated losses. Number 6 or 7 in the market. There were genuine questions about whether Voltas should remain in the business. 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭. At the time, it was not an unreasonable view. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝. And teams went back to something fundamental. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫. What did they really need? Energy efficiency. Affordability. Reliability. Products suited to Indian conditions. The answers shaped what followed. Better products. Deeper distribution. More flexible manufacturing. And eventually, an idea that captured it all. 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐤𝐚 𝐀𝐂. None of this happened quickly. It took years, many people, and a willingness to keep listening and learning. Over time, Voltas became the market leader. Years later, the same financial daily wrote about Voltas outperforming the competition. 𝐀 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲. This week, as Voltas reinforced its leadership in Room Air Conditioners, I found myself thinking less about where we are today and more about where we began. And about the many people who made that journey possible. 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. Rahman Kazmi shared thisEvery brand has a story. Great brands understand people before products. A wonderful piece on the Voltas journey:)Rahman Kazmi shared this𝟐𝟓 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬: 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 – 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟏𝟕 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬 | 𝐘𝐞𝐡𝐢 𝐇𝐚𝐢 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲! Last week, the story was about relationships. This week, it is about change. Not the change within a company. The change in a country. Some slogans never leave you. This was one of them. “𝐘𝐞𝐡𝐢 𝐇𝐚𝐢 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲!” If you grew up in the 1990s, you know exactly what I mean. Pepsi was more than a soft drink. It captured the spirit of a changing India. Young. Confident. Aspirational. It seemed to be everywhere. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲. 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐩𝐬𝐢 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚. At first, it feels like an unusual chapter in the story of an air conditioning company. It is not. Because this story is not really about Pepsi. It is about understanding India. The 1990s changed the country. Liberalisation opened markets. Consumers had more choice. Brands had to earn attention. Companies had to understand a new India. 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐭. That lesson continues even today. As we introduced our new AI range, one trend stood out. The strongest adoption came from Gen Z. For a generation that has grown up with technology, AI is not a premium feature. It is simply what they expect. Understanding that shift is just as important today as understanding a changing India was three decades ago. Looking back, one thought stays. A bottle of Pepsi. An AI air conditioner. Two very different products. One enduring lesson. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐫𝐚. 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. More next week. Jayant #25YearsAtVoltas #StoriesFromTheJourney #VoltasLegacy

Rahman Kazmi reacted on thisRahman Kazmi reacted on thisAtomberg and Voltas to set up a 50:50 joint venture! A compressor is the heart of an air conditioner, one part that decides how effectively a machine performs. For years, we have assembled ACs at scale in India while quietly importing the piece that matters most. AC penetration here is still under 8-9% of households. It is one of the fastest-growing categories in our country. This growth deserves to run on technology built for us, not adopted by us. To enable this, Atomberg and Voltas are partnering to manufacture air conditioner compressors in India, powered by Atomberg's BLDC motor platform. Make in India, built for India. Almost seventy years apart. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚. The story began with Hyderabad Allwyn. In 1957, it collaborated with Prestcold of the UK to manufacture compressors for refrigerators. At a time when domestic refrigeration itself was still relatively new in India, this was about building capability closer to home. Over the years, the technology evolved. India was learning. And localising. Voltas had its own compressor journey too. Across refrigeration and air conditioning. Different technologies. Different applications. The same effort to build manufacturing capability in India. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧, 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟎𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐰𝐲𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐬. The future of India’s attention economy isn’t regional vs national. It’s #relatable vs #forgettable. #IndiaCreatorEconomy in #2025 : Language is no longer the biggest moat. Culture is. India’s digital culture story this year is a powerful signal for brands, marketers, and creators alike. The latest Culture & Trends data shows a clear shift—from regional reach to shared relevance. Three defining shifts shaping India right now 1) From “Mother Tongue” to “Multi-Tongue at Scale” Creators and studios are no longer choosing one language—they’re choosing all. Pan-India dubbing has moved from a growth tactic to a default distribution strategy. When content is emotionally strong, language becomes a delivery layer—not a barrier. What this means for Marketers: If your brand story is strong, invest in dubbing early. Scale follows clarity. 2) Non-verbal content is quietly becoming the biggest unifier Shorts-first creators using music, expressions, and visual storytelling are crossing states without saying a word. This is not “low-effort content”—it’s highly engineered universality. What this means for Marketers: Brands must design content that works with sound off, language off, bias off. 3) Internet-first phenomena now rival Bollywood & Cricket Memes, AI characters, and digital collectibles are entering national vocabulary—fast. What’s fascinating isn’t the trend itself, but how Indian creators localise global internet culture with humour, satire, and emotion. What this means for Marketers: Trend participation isn’t about speed alone—it’s about cultural translation. Brands that remix, not replicate, win relevance. The big shift: India’s next phase of growth will be led by creators and brands that transcend geography by tapping into shared emotions, scalable formats, and internet-native culture. #BrandStrategy #CreatorEconomy #IndiaTrends #CulturalInsights #DigitalIndia #MarketingLeadership #YouTubeTrends #marketinghead #cmo #leadership
