Hi/Hola! 👋
Welcome to my small site. My name is Jorge Sanz (ˈxoɾxesˈants) and I’m living with my partner and our kid in València, Spain. I like reading novels, meeting with friends around a nice meal, chatting on open platforms, and messing up with technology, specially around geospatial and open source and data communities. I used to do some sailing but a pandemic and paternity put that on hold.
My professional background is in Cartography and Geodesy Engineering, and I develop my professional career around Geospatial Information Systems and Open Source Software and Data. I’m currently working at Elastic at the Kibana Presentation and Maps team as a geospatial engineer.

This site is focused on simplicity and readability and published both as a Small Web (that is: very few JavaScript, no cookies, no bloated styles and layouts) and as a Gemini Capsule. If you don’t know about Gemini take a look this quick start.
A small note about data. I host this site so web server logs are only managed (and mostly ignored) by me.
