Once Elizabeth Mercy's private estate, the black lantern-shaped manor now houses the school's administrative offices. Locals never settled on quite the right word for it; beautiful, certainly, but odd — so "the mystery house" became, in time, Maison Mistica; a hybrid French name simply adopted and it stuck.
