Software Engineer & Health Data Scientist

About Me

I have 10+ years of experience as a software engineer and health data scientist.

For the last 5 years, I have had the privilege of working at MITRE, a mission-driven non-profit that focuses on R&D for the federal government.

My technical work at MITRE has centered around advancing health by making data more accessible and useful. My recent work includes SMART Health Cards (QR codes for sharing health records on Android and iOS; used by millions of people in the US and internationally), and FHIR for Research (educational materials for using health data standards in research). I also lead a cross-disciplinary technical team as a front-line manager, and serve in several strategic/business development roles.

My PhD is from the epidemiology program at University of Maryland Baltimore. I attended Duke University for undergrad.
