At Merit America, every learner is paired with a Program Career Coach who supports you through each phase of the program. Your coach provides continuous, personalized support, helping you build confidence, stay motivated, and navigate your career journey from day one to job offer.
Our coaches offer personalized guidance on everything from overcoming imposter syndrome to using AI tools in your job search. They also support you in navigating real-world challenges related to age, neurodiversity, gender, and finances.
As an alumni, you can seek career coaching as you navigate career transitions. Your coach is a dedicated partner in your path to a better career.

At Merit America, the entire program is designed to prepare you for a new career—and that includes dedicated support during the Job Success phase.

This program phase begins after you complete your technical training and typically lasts 6 weeks. During this time, you’ll continue working with your Program Career Coach, who will provide personalized guidance to help you confidently navigate the job search.

In the Job Success phase, you’ll focus on:

• Creating a strategic job search plan and optimizing your online presence to boost visibility.
• Using high-quality tools and resources to research companies, connect with recruiters, tailor your application materials, prepare for interviews, and negotiate offers.
• Learning how to leverage AI tools to enhance your job search process.
• Working through real-life challenges—like imposter syndrome, motivation, financial or legal barriers, and navigating workplace issues related to age, gender, sexuality, and neurodiversity.

Your Program Career Coach is committed to helping you build the skills and confidence needed to land the job you deserve. If you’re still seeking employment after the initial 6-week phase, extended support is available through our Alumni Career Coaches. cus is to ensure you secure the job you deserve! If you’re still searching for employment after the initial 12-week phase, you can extend support for an additional 12 weeks.

You’ll meet with your coach multiple times a month for 1-on-1 sessions, selecting time slots that fit your schedule to support your individual job search progress and strategy. You’ll also participate in weekly group sessions with your coach and peers, tackling key topics like writing tailored cover letters, crafting powerful resume bullet points, and effectively building your network. Between sessions, your coach is readily available via email and Slack to answer questions and provide ongoing guidance

Yes! All coaching services are included at no extra cost. When you start your program, you’ll have full access to all of our coaching and support services.

While we cannot guarantee job placement or specific salary outcomes, we are committed to equipping you with a comprehensive training curriculum, professional career development resources, and dedicated job placement support.

Once you begin your program, you’ll have 5 weeks to cancel with no penalty. Plus, our Merit America Guarantee ensures that if you don’t earn at least $40,000 within two years of completing the Immersion phase, you won’t be required to pay—making the program risk-free.
