KPOPPED (Apple TV+ Original Series Soundtrack) Vol. 1

Various Artists

In 2025, as the line between global pop industries continued to blur, Apple TV+ released KPOPPED, an eight-part series bringing together iconic Western artists, including R&B queen Patti LaBelle and vocal harmony boy group Boyz II Men, with some of contemporary K-pop’s most popular idols, including girl groups ITZY and STAYC. In each episode, the artists collaborate across cultural boundaries, performing one of the Western singer’s biggest hits in front of a live studio audience in Seoul. The KPOPPED soundtrack includes a selection of the series’ standout tracks, including LaBelle’s 1974 hit “Lady Marmalade” (featuring Billlie), Boyz II Men’s 1992 bop “End of the Road” (featuring BLACKSWAN) and TLC’s 1995 single “Waterfalls” (featuring STAYC). The songs represent not only a crossing of cultural boundaries, but generational ones. Spice Girls members Emma Bunton (“Baby”) and Mel B (“Scary”) team up with “teen crush” girl group ITZY for a modern version of 1996 pop hit “Wannabe”, while the members of girl group Kep1er ask listeners to “stop, collaborate and listen” alongside American rapper Vanilla Ice over the iconic beat of 1990 hit “Ice Ice Baby”.
