Embracing nostalgia and celebrating timeless classics, LITE recently brought vinyl culture to life with Spin City: A Celebration of Vinyl, a one-day pop-up event at The Campus, Ampang that unites music lovers, collectors and enthusiasts in a vibrant, community-driven space. The event highlighted the enduring appeal of vinyl records and their lasting influence on music history, while supporting the growing community of vinyl enthusiasts. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet LITE announcers Leya, Terry, Non, Sheela and Phat Fabes, while live vinyl DJ sets by DJ Ken and Phat Fabes kept the nostalgic atmosphere alive throughout the day. Nothing brings Malaysians together quite like a good breakfast. Last week, F&N Pagi ZAYAN celebrated the nation's favourite morning staples through the topic, "Sarapan Pagi Pilihan Rakyat Malaysia." Held at Selera Pandan Haris Corner, the event brought together ZAYAN listeners for a warm and engaging morning with 150 complimentary servings of roti canai and teh Tarik. GenSINAR Pagi continues to champion a healthy living and raise awareness about the importance of blood donation through a recent visit to Pusat Darah Negara (PDN) yesterday. The visit provided valuable insights into PDN's daily operations and responsibilities, including the donor registration process, health screening procedures, blood collection, and the careful handling and storage of blood to ensure its safety and quality for those in need. Through initiatives like this, we hope to inspire our listeners to become agents of change by staying informed and supporting this meaningful cause. As the National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) 2026 celebrations draw near, Astro Audio was delighted to welcome representatives from Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia (JAPEN) as part of its Program Singgah Media Merdeka at Astro yesterday. Led by Deputy Director-General (Strategic Communications), Pn Rubaayah Osman, the delegation was hosted by Astro Audio Director, Priya Dharshini Prabakaran, and her team. The visit included a tour of the Astro AWANI and Astro Audio News broadcasting studios, followed by the presentation of Jalur Gemilang Kits to Astro representatives and radio announcers as a symbolic gesture of support for the Kibar Jalur Gemilang Campaign. Inspired by the excitement of the Formula 1 season, MIX brought listeners closer to the action with the MIX Grand Prix at Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur. Held on Saturday, 1 August 2026, the event saw 20 lucky listeners enjoy an adrenaline-filled day of thrills, laughter and luge rides alongside MIX announcers. The MIX Grand Prix was created to give listeners the opportunity to connect with their favourite announcers in a unique and interactive setting. MIX continued to strengthen its bond with listeners through two engaging community initiatives over the weekend. At the MIX Durian Party held at Durian Day in Bukit Bintang, around 20 participants enjoyed an afternoon of free-flow durian and quality time with MIX announcers Hafiz and Guibo. The event provided listeners with a unique opportunity to connect and interact with their favourite on-air personalities while celebrating a beloved local tradition. Meanwhile, On The Run with MIX, organised in collaboration with Flow Forward Collective at Desa Park City, brought together runners and listeners for a morning of fitness, wellness and camaraderie. These initiatives demonstrate MIX's ongoing efforts to build meaningful experiences beyond the airwaves, fostering authentic connections with listeners through shared moments.
