Join us next week at Sensors Converge 2026 to find out why the future of the edge is neuromorphic. Physical AI demands systems that can sense, interpret, and react instantly in the real world, not just process data at scale. This is where neuromorphic computing emerges as a critical building block, delivering event-driven, ultra-efficient intelligence that enables always-on, context-aware operation at the edge under real-world constraints. Visit us at booth 921 to see it in action. Use code 10110 to claim your free Expo Hall Pass. https://lnkd.in/e5KZxhmP #Neuromorphic #SensorsConverge #SNN #EdgeAI

Neuromorphic intelligence for the sensor edge.
Over ons
Innatera pioneers neuromorphic processors for the sensor edge, enabling devices to sense, understand, and respond in real time. Founded in 2018 as a spin-off from Delft University of Technology, Innatera develops brain-inspired chips that process sensor data directly where it is generated. Built on a continuous-time analog-mixed signal architecture, Innatera’s technology delivers up to 100× faster processing and 500× lower energy consumption than conventional processors, enabling scalable, always-on intelligence across consumer, industrial, and IoT applications.

As we promised, we're moving along with the work on the book on Practical Spiking Neural Networks! I am just here raising awareness about a cool new feature that the team has been hard at work implementing: enabling contributing authors to the SNN book to incorporate live, interactive visualisations into their chapters. All it takes is a few lines of Python - have a look! https://lnkd.in/eyp6MS7i I can't wait to see how authors use this ability! What should be the starting point for scaling your physical AI applications? In our latest talk with Pete Bernard and EDGE AI FOUNDATION, Sumeet Kumar shares why neuromorphic computing is reshaping AI at the edge. Huge ambitions like this require almost impossible leaps in innovation. Pulsar, our neuromorphic microcontroller, is exactly the limit-defying type of technology that can help companies scale at the edge, without compromising on power, cost, or complexity. This is the new baseline. Watch the full video here: https://lnkd.in/enH3nxmJ
Check out this new video - Why Neuromorphic Chips Will Replace Traditional AI Processors at the Edge with Innatera Sumeet Kumar Traditional AI has a power problem — it's simply too hungry for the billions of tiny, battery-powered sensors that need intelligence at the edge. That's where neuromorphic computing changes everything. In this talk, we explore how brain-inspired chips and spiking neural network-style processing are enabling a new generation of ultra-low power, always-on AI. Rather than streaming raw data to the cloud, these devices detect only the signals that matter — right where the data is generated. We dive into Innatera's Pulsar neuromorphic microcontroller and its real-world applications: radar presence sensing, privacy-preserving "computer vision without cameras," and intelligent smoke detectors that can identify smoke type and estimate human presence. Neuromorphic AI isn't a science experiment anymore — it's becoming a product category. Discover how this technology is eliminating costly wiring, reducing cloud dependency, and unlocking AI in places it could never reach before. I had the privilege of attending Edge AI San Diego 2026 to receive the EDGE AI FOUNDATION's Cornerstone Partner award for Innatera. We've been early supporters of the foundation and its charter of creating a great ecosystem of companies working to bring intelligence into the world around us. I'd personally wanted Innatera to be a part of the foundation long before we had the means to sign up - it is an honour to be recognized as a cornerstone partner today! Pete Bernard, you were born to lead this! :) We're progressing with drive and in a good direction, all thanks to your humble, ears-to-the-ground style of leadership. Evgeni Gousev, you've been a consistent force and are truly the spirit of what we're doing as a group. I really hope you're proud of how far things have come! Rosina Haberl, you're the foundation of the foundation. I've lost track of the number of things you've made happen for us. Every initiative that we've been part of, whether its a working group, an event, an idea for the foundation or something that we've asked for support on, your fingerprint has been on everything - prompt, thorough, beyond the call of duty. The three of you are the heart of the EDGE AI FOUNDATION - thank you immensely for all that you do, and for building such a great team around you. We have a long way to go, but I'm glad that we have fun doing it (the picture of Maverick & Goose on the USS Midway is proof!) Petruț Antoniu Bogdan Shreyas Derashri Chris Appleton

The missing piece to neuromorphic AI is here: shared models, resources, and a path to real deployment. We're beyond thrilled to announce Synfire today at the EDGE AI FOUNDATION San Diego event. Synfire is an Innatera-initiated, community-driven, open platform built to unify the neuromorphic ecosystem and accelerate edge AI in the real world. This is a critical step in making sure that those looking to build the next generation in neuromorphic applications have a robust ecosystem to scale, collaborate, and move faster together. Sign up to be the first to know when the platform opens in April: https://synfire.dev/ #Neuromorphic #EdgeAI
