About this movie

Legendary filmmaker James Cameron returns to the breathtaking world of Pandora with “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the immersive third chapter of Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family. Living amongst the Metkayina Clan in the picturesque reefs of Pandora, but still reeling from the death of a family member at the hands of the RDA, the Sullys set out to protect another loved one from harm. Aided by the peaceful Tlalim Clan, also known as the Wind Traders who sail the skies, the Sullys’ journey is cut short when they’re attacked by members of the Mangkwan Clan, a.k.a. the Ash People, who blame Eywa for the devastation of their home by a volcano. Directed by James Cameron and also starring Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Brendan Cowell, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, Duane Evans, Jr., and Kate Winslet, “Avatar: Fire and Ash” has a screenplay by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and a story by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver & Josh Friedman & Shane Salerno. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.

Thoroughly enjoyable. I liked it more than The Way of Water. The Tulkun were my favorite part; I loved the giant Matriarchs! I hope a book that include more lore for them is released. I'd love to learn more. Varang makes for an interesting antagonist; I suspect we'll see her again in the 4th film.
