  • Hyperscale delivery in Asia Pacific depends on conditions that differ in every market: power infrastructure, regulation, utility relationships and local construction ecosystems.  Our Chief Executive Officer, Eric Fan, explains how Bridge Data Centres combines global governance and capital discipline with local depth across Asia Pacific and beyond. Read his insights in the post below.

There is a word that defines how BDC approaches its markets: glocal. It captures something specific about how we think infrastructure at this scale actually has to work. When you operate hyperscale data centres across Asia Pacific, you learn quickly that a uniform global playbook does not exist. Every market has its own power infrastructure, its own regulatory framework, its own utility relationships, its own construction ecosystem. What works in Chonburi does not automatically translate to Navi Mumbai. Operators who treat Asia Pacific as a single addressable market and apply the same approach across every geography tend to find out why that does not work at precisely the moment it matters most, when a hyperscale customer needs capacity delivered on a timeline that leaves no room for relearning local conditions. What we have built at BDC is the opposite of a uniform playbook. Deep relationships with local utilities, governments, and construction partners in each market. Site selection criteria that account for the specific power, water, and connectivity conditions of each location. Delivery models adapted to what each market actually requires rather than what is convenient to standardise. The global part is the governance, the capital discipline, the technology standards, and the hyperscaler relationships. The local part is everything that actually makes a campus get built, get powered, and get delivered on time. Each depends on the other working properly, and I think that combination, more than any single capability, is what will determine who leads this market in Asia Pacific and beyond over the next decade.

  • Last week, Bridge Data Centres (BDC) took part in the Johor Economic, Tourism, and Cultural Office Singapore (JETCO) familiarisation trip in Johor Bahru, an initiative by the Johor State Government to introduce the state's tourism and heritage offerings to industry players within the Johor Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS SEZ). Around 20 staff joined guided visits to Muzium Tokoh and Kompleks Warisan Sultan Abu Bakar, deepening their understanding of Johor's rich history and cultural heritage. It was a fruitful trip enjoyed by all who took part. Our sincere appreciation to JETCO for the invitation, the thoughtfully curated programme, and the warm hospitality throughout the day. #BridgeDataCentres #JETCO #JSSEZ #JohorBahru
