Great to see the team at UBH, Aaron and Jeff, thanks for making time. And meeting new contacts over at Data#3, including Jordan, was a real highlight. I'm looking forward to building on that. Kicked off one morning with a great breakfast catch-up with Amanda from HPE, it's always good value spending time with her. We are a small country with good AI engineers — but nowhere near enough for the AI ambitions we had. So we set out to grow more, and to level up every industry to use AI well. Not to close one gap, but to lift a whole economy. This short video is what that work became. We grew our own AI engineers, helped every corner of the economy put AI to real use, and brought AI literacy to three hundred thousand citizens. Other countries now come here to learn from us. That is not something a small nation is supposed to lead in — and yet, here we are. We built this as Singaporeans, for Singapore. And the world noticed. I’m still trying to get back to each of you individually, but I wanted to say a collective thank you here as well. It genuinely meant a lot. The day started with a home espresso ☕ and turned into a wonderful reminder of the things that matter most family, friendships, and the relationships we build along the way. I also had a planned gathering at Kohsar with some of the old VMware Pakistan gang who were visiting Islamabad, which naturally led to plenty of reminiscing about the VMware days the customers, the challenges, the wins, the long days, and above all, the people and friendships that stayed with us long after roles and organisations changed. Birthdays have a way of giving you perspective. Careers are important, but over time you realise that the people you meet, the relationships you build, the impact you make and the friendships you carry forward matter just as much as titles or targets. They are dealing with two layers of friction: trying to figure out how to use AI to speed up their own daily workflows, while simultaneously acting as the filter to stop their teams from drowning in AI tool fatigue. Last week at our Google Americas Sales Leaders offsite, we tackled this head-on. After leading our AI strategy for a few years, the mandate is clear: stop the abstract talk and give our leaders actual leverage. Here is how we are executing: 𝟭. 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴. During our Q2 hackathon, managers pitched 8 ideas to fix their biggest operational bottlenecks. We quickly doubled down on top ideas and used Antigravity with internal data APIs to build the top 3 into working MVPs. 𝟮. 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀. Sellers don't need more tools; they need clarity. We rolled out a GTM strategy that maps the best AI capability to each specific stage of the sales workflow. Managers now have a framework to guide their teams, backed by weekly enablement to drive habit formation. 𝟯. 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲. At the offsite, we scrapped the standard stage demo. Instead, managers spent the breakout session testing the MVPs in their live workflows. We got immediate, raw feedback that our builders managers now iterating on with technical teams for the enterprise rollout. You can't mandate AI transformation from the top down. You have to build it directly into the management workflow. How are you equipping your management layer to lead this transition?
