Communicate quickly with group owners, managers, or members by adding commands to the addresses of email messages you send to a group. To join or leave a group, you can also use commands, which let you interact with a group without accessing Google Groups. This is useful if, for example, you know a group’s email address but don’t have permission to view the group on the web.
The mail command address format is [group name]+[command]@[group domain]. For example, to join the group mygroup@mygroups.com, you would send a message to mygroup+subscribe@mygroup.com.

Messages to this address are received (accepted) by Google servers, but are dropped (not delivered to the group). Note: These messages show as "Delivered" in email Log Search (ELS), as Google technically accepted them from the sender, but dropped them during the next delivery steps. |
