About client account statuses

Only a manager or sub-manager account can change the status of a client account in Search Ads 360.

In Search Ads 360, a client account can have the following status:

  • "Active" indicates that all Search Ads 360 features and functions are occurring.
  • "Unlink" indicates that all activity for the account is permanently stopped. After you remove an account, it can't be resumed by the sub-manager account.

What happens when an account is unlinked

You may want to unlink a client account when you no longer manage it. Unlinking a client account means that Search Ads 360 no longer performs trafficking and syncing.

When an account is unlinked:

  • Search Ads 360 will stop reporting on engine data.
  • Conversions and Google Analytics metrics will continue to be reported.
  • The account will be unlinked from Search Ads 360 reports by default.

While you can't resume an account once it's unlinked, if you also complete the steps to offboard the account from Search Ads 360, you can add the account to the same sub-manager account again, or to a different sub-manager account. When you add the account, new clickserver URLs will be generated for the account and trafficked to the engine which will result in new visits and conversions being reported to the account. New visits and conversions will not be included in the account metrics.
