But ahead of her penultimate gig at the 02 Arena tonight, Ariana, 33, took to social media to reveal that she’s suffering from a painful injury.

Ariana said she will be ditching her heels and opting for more comfortable footwear following a “deep cut” to her foot.

Sharing a statement to her Instagram story, she wrote: “My sweet petals, I wanted to let you know I will need to be in cozy footwear for this evenings show (and possibly tomorrow’s) as I am bandaged up underneath, recovering from a minor injury.

“It is not a sprain or anything muscular but just a deep cut!

“So when you see me tonight without my signature heels, or even possibly having a little trouble putting weight on that foot, that is why!

“But please do not fret.

“On with the show and I am on the mend. I cannot wait to perform for you tonight and tomorrow (even if I am a few inches shorter than usual).”

Earlier this week, Ariana left fans worried after spotting the star limping during her 10-night London residency.

One fan shared on social media: “When I saw those high heels I was worried that she might roll her ankle due to how high.

“Anyways I hope it’s nothing serious and she recovers soon.”

Another posted: “It must be so painful in those heals’, ‘Next Week needs to come fast for my baby to rest.”

Earlier this month, Ariana admitted she felt “overwhelmed” with emotion on stage as she thanked her fans for their support at the opening night of the UK leg of her tour.

The American singer said: “London, I love you so much.

“I feel overwhelmed right now. I’m so grateful to be doing this with you all.

“As you know, London is my final stop on this tour. And I just wanted to say I’m going to savour every last second of these last ten shows with you guys. As this is one of my favourite places in the world.”

There was no hint of any underlying upset as Ariana took to the stage at The O2 London despite her shock decision to take an extended break from the public when her ten-night stint in the capital ends.

She seemed excited to be back, having spent so long living and working here during filming for the Wicked movies.
