Architecture Categories

The Storage Work Group builds upon existing TCG technologies and philosophy, and focuses on standards for security services on dedicated storage systems. One objective is to develop standards and practices for defining the same security services across dedicated storage controller interfaces, including but not limited to ATA, Serial ATA, SCSI, FibreChannel, USB Storage, IEEE 1394, Network Attached Storage (TCP/IP), NVM Express, and iSCSI. Storage systems include disk drives, removable media drives, flash storage, and multiple storage device systems.

Yoni Shternhell is a Technologist at the CTO office for Sandisk Co. and has than 25 years of experience in software development and Storage system architecture. Yoni holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering and MBA in Industrial Business.

Yoni has been a member of the TCG Storage Work Group since 2007, and was the author and editor of the Ruby SSC specification. He has been an active leader in storage and security standards development since 2007 and participates in many storage and security standards organizations including USB-IF, SDA, JEDEC, NVMe, IEEE, and ETSI.

John Mathews

John Mathews is a Software Engineer working in the area of storage security at Solidigm Technology. John is the author of the TCG Key Per IO Application Note specification and current editor of the TCG Key Per IO SSC specification.
