Abuse and harassment disproportionately affect women and underrepresented communities online. It hurts those who are targeted, and damages the health of the conversation and the expression and exchange of ideas where people, no matter their views or perspectives, can be heard.Our top priority is keeping everyone who uses Twitter safe and free from abuse. While we have made recent strides, such as conversation controls, prompts to reconsider abusive Tweets, and upcoming safety mode for screening Tweets, there is still much work to be done.This work extends off-service, too. Last year, we launched a dedicated #ThereIsHelp search prompt in 27 countries to offer support to survivors of domestic and gender-based violence – which has increased in many parts of the world during COVID-19.During #COVID19, gender-based violence has risen. With @unwomenasia & other critical partners, we've expanded our #ThereIsHelp search prompt so that victims can find the resources they need.
