This #UKBlackHistoryMonth, we’re reflecting on this year’s theme, “Honouring Our Communities,” and the contributions Black people continue to make across the UK and the world.    At Halma, that recognition sits alongside action. As a signatory of Change the Race Ratio, we are focused on increasing racial and ethnic diversity across our businesses and strengthening representation at senior levels.    Representation in our UK-based senior management roles, as defined by the Parker Review, is now 20% meeting our December 2027 target ahead of schedule. It is an important step forward, but not the end of the journey. We remain committed to building diverse and inclusive businesses where everyone has equal access and opportunity, is treated fairly and can thrive.

  • Congratulations to Halma Group Chief Executive Marc Ronchetti, who has been named in the Top 20 of the Heroes Advocates Role Model List 2026, supported by YouTube and run by INvolve - The Inclusion People. This is Marc’s third consecutive year of recognition as an advocate for women in business, and his Top 20 placement is a fantastic achievement. It also reflects Halma’s long-term commitment to building inclusive businesses and improving gender balance at every level.   Inclusive leadership is central to long-term growth. By bringing different perspectives into our businesses, we can better understand our customers, make stronger decisions and create the conditions for more ideas to thrive. #HERRoleModels26

  • Today is World Patient Safety Day, dedicated to reducing avoidable harm in healthcare and improving patient outcomes. This year's theme, ‘Safe care for noncommunicable diseases’, highlights the importance of delivering safer care throughout a patient's journey. Managing a long-term health condition such as cardiovascular disease, cancer or diabetes often means navigating years of appointments, treatments and monitoring. Ensuring care is safe and effective at every stage of that journey is an important part of improving outcomes for patients. At Halma, our healthcare companies support clinicians and healthcare providers with technologies that help improve diagnosis, patient monitoring and treatment across a range of care settings. This World Patient Safety Day, we recognise everyone working to improve patient safety and support better outcomes for people living with long-term health conditions. #WorldPatientSafetyDay #HealthcareInnovation #PatientSafety #SafeCareForLife

On US Women’s Equality Day, we reflect on the progress made toward gender equality and the work still ahead to create a fairer and more inclusive future for women everywhere. At Halma, we know equality is about more than recognition. It is about supporting women to thrive, reducing barriers to opportunity, and helping protect women’s health, safety and rights. This year, we continued to make progress in reducing our gender pay gap, with the mean gap decreasing from 12% to 9%. In the US, our largest region by employee population, we have also expanded our wellbeing benefits to include menopause and midlife support, alongside existing fertility benefits and coverage for gender affirmation and reassignment. We are also proud to see Halma companies supporting two US non-profit organisations through Impact the Future Fund, our grant-making initiative enabling our companies to develop purpose-driven partnerships with local non-profit organisations tackling urgent challenges in their local communities. Healthcare company Arcmed is partnering with The Center for Empowerment and Education, which provides critical support to people affected by domestic and sexual violence in Connecticut, US. Sensorex, Inc., in the Environmental & Analysis sector is partnering with Saving Innocence, a Los Angeles-based non-profit dedicated to ending child sex trafficking and restoring dignity and safety for survivors. Through volunteering, match funding and community partnerships, our companies are helping advance a simple but urgent message: women’s rights to health and safety matter. Today and every day, we are committed to playing our part in building a more equitable future. #WomensEqualityDay #WomenInHalma #GenderEquality

World Water week begins this Sunday 23rd August, bringing together experts, policymakers and organisations from around the world to address some of the most pressing water challenges and explore solutions to build more resilient water networks. Minicam demonstrates the critical role water companies have in using technology to identify issues earlier, protect communities and safeguard the environment. Water and sewer networks are critical to protecting public health but ageing infrastructure, growing populations and more extreme weather are placing increasing pressure on these essential services. Leaks, blockages and structural issues that go undetected can affect local communities, the environment and the reliability of vital services. Working with leading drainage and sewer maintenance specialist Lanes Group, Minicam has developed portable inspection technology that enables underground pipes to be surveyed safely and efficiently. By providing detailed, real-time information about network conditions, the technology helps utilities identify problems earlier and act before minor issues become major disruptions. This collaboration is helping water companies protect communities, reduce environmental impact and build more resilient infrastructure for the future. #WWWeek #WaterForPeopleAndProgress

As E2S Warning Signals looked to its next stage of growth, finding the right home for the business meant more than continuity. It meant creating new opportunities for its employees, products and customers. As Brett Isard, Managing Director of E2S Group, explains, joining Halma connected E2S with a group of specialist businesses operating in similarly regulated markets. This created opportunities to share expertise, learn from others’ experience, and respond to changing industry requirements. Since joining the Group, E2S has benefited from access to a wider network of peers, helping teams share best practice, solve challenges together and identify new opportunities for growth. By combining entrepreneurial independence with the support of a global group, E2S is well positioned to continue innovating, expand into new markets and build on its success for the long-term.

Hospitals care for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. Keeping patients, visitors and healthcare professionals safe depends on systems that work reliably in the background without disrupting care. At Ireland’s New National Children’s Hospital in Dublin, Halma’s Fire companies led by Apollo Fire Detectors are helping make that possible. Working with G4S Fire & Security Systems Ireland, Apollo has delivered an integrated fire detection and alarm solution across one of Europe’s most advanced healthcare facilities. With more than 25,000 devices installed, it provides reliable protection while supporting the hospital’s digital infrastructure and daily operations. By helping ensure children can receive specialist care in a safe and resilient environment, this collaboration supports the patients, families and healthcare teams who rely on the hospital every day.

Building a successful business takes more than delivering great products. It’s about creating the right environment for people to grow, innovate and make a lasting impact. For Andy Hicks, former Managing Director of Ramtech Global, finding the right long-term home was central to the decision to join Halma in 2021. Andy reflects how shared values, a strong culture and a commitment to empowering people made Halma the right fit. By retaining the autonomy that helped make Ramtech successful, while providing access to a global network, resources and growth opportunities, Halma has enabled the business to grow faster, while staying true to its roots. Today, Ramtech remains proud of the culture and legacy that continue to shape the business.

High blood pressure is often overlooked in pets, and if left untreated it can lead to serious complications including blindness, organ damage and stroke. For veterinary teams, collecting accurate blood pressure readings is not always easy. Animals can become anxious in clinical settings and struggle to stay still, leading to inconsistent results. Halma company, SunTech Medical, is drawing on decades of expertise in motion‑tolerant blood pressure monitoring to address this challenge. It has developed the Vet BP range to provide accurate readings from awake and moving animals. By adapting technology proven in some of the world’s most demanding healthcare settings, SunTech supports veterinary professionals to make faster, more confident decisions. Supporting earlier diagnosis and improved care for animals of all sizes, SunTech is helping deliver better care for pets and peace of mind for their owners.
