🌱 Better health. Better productivity. Measurable return. Serious ROI! These are not aspirational claims. They are the documented outputs of University of Exeter research into plant-enriched office environments – a 15% productivity increase and cortisol reductions of up to 37%, cited in the WELL Building Standard and replicated across multiple occupational health studies. For FM managers and property directors under pressure to demonstrate wellbeing outcomes, interior planting is one of the most cost-effective and straightforward interventions available. The documentation we provide – species schedules, ESG plant summaries, maintenance logs – supports WELL and BREEAM certification directly. We've built a calculator that translates the research into a number specific to your organisation. Headcount, salary, scheme size – your figure, not a generic estimate. 🪴 One thing, done right. The single most impactful change to a business entrance is not a rebrand, a feature wall, or new furniture. It is a single, well-specified, properly maintained statement plant. In the right container. In the right position. This is a claim worth examining. A Strelitzia nicolai at full height in an appropriate container costs less than most meeting room chairs. It requires a monthly maintenance visit. It lasts years when properly managed. And it changes the register of a reception immediately – before a visitor has spoken to anyone, before a meeting has started, before any impression has been consciously formed. The University of Exeter research on biophilic environments documents why this works at a physiological level. Our forty-plus years of client relationships across East Anglia tell us what it looks like in practice. The difference between a plant that was placed and a plant that was designed is legible to everyone who walks through the door, even if they can't articulate it. We provide site assessments at no cost or obligation. If your entrance isn't working as hard as it should, that is where we would start. 📩 interior@plantscape.co.uk #InteriorDesign #BiophilicDesign #OfficePlants #WorkplaceDesign #PlantscapeInterior #NorfolkBusiness #CommercialInteriors #FacilitiesManagement #OfficeDesign #StatementPlant #WorkplaceWellbeing #WELL #BiophilicOffice #EastAnglia #ManagedPlanting

✨ Ten plants from one. One mature, overgrown plant. Divided carefully at the roots, each section potted on with fresh growing media, given the right conditions and time. Ten viable plants. From one. No supplier order. No Dutch import. No packaging. No lead time. Just propagation – the oldest and most resource-efficient technique in horticulture, and one that sits at the centre of how we manage stock at Plantscape Interior. When a plant outgrows its commercial setting, the default in this industry is disposal and reorder. Our approach is to assess first: can this be divided, repotted, or reassigned? In most cases, the answer is yes. The environmental saving is straightforward. The financial saving is passed on where it can be. And the result – a healthy, well-established plant with a developed root system – is often superior to new stock that has yet to acclimatise. This is one of the practical expressions of our ISO 14001 process, currently underway. Circular practice in interior plantscaping is not complicated. It requires knowledge, time, and a potting bench. We have all three. 📩 interior@plantscape.co.uk – ESG plant summary available on request. #Propagation #PlantScience #Horticulture #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #ISO14001 #ESG #PlantscapeInterior #NorfolkBusiness #OfficePlants #InteriorPlants #ManagedPlanting #BiophilicDesign #GreenBusiness #FacilitiesManagement #EastAnglia

♻️ Old plants. New life. A man, a van, and a potting bench. That is the honest description of how Plantscape Interior approaches circular practice in interior plantscaping. When a scheme is refreshed or retired, the plants come back to our nursery. The industry default is to dispose and reorder – Dutch import, next week delivery, problem solved. We take a different approach. Rootbound plants are repotted into larger containers with fresh growing media. Undernourished stock is assessed, treated, and given time to recover. Plants past their best in a high-profile commercial setting are returned to service in contexts that suit their current condition. Most come back into rotation within two months. The environmental cost is a fraction of new import stock. Oliver describes this part of the work as satisfying and meditative. We'd describe it as the only logical approach for a business that takes its environmental responsibilities seriously – which is why it sits at the centre of our ISO 14001 process, currently underway. This is what circular actually means in our trade. Not a policy document or an ISO clause. 🏢 The August shutdown is coming. Your plants have not been informed. Every year, the same thing happens. Offices reduce to skeleton staff, or close entirely, for two or three weeks in August. The person responsible for plant watering goes on holiday. The air conditioning runs on a timer that nobody adjusted. Plants in poorly managed spaces show the damage before September is out. This is not inevitable. A properly structured maintenance contract accounts for the holiday period – adjusted visit frequency, early assessment of at-risk species, and clear handover notes if any staff-side watering is expected. We have been managing the August problem for over forty years. We know which species need intervention and which will hold through a fortnight unattended. If your maintenance arrangement doesn't include a conversation about August, it's worth having one before the holidays begin. 📩 interior@plantscape.co.uk #OfficePlants #PlantMaintenance #FacilitiesManagement #WorkplaceWellbeing #InteriorPlants #PlantscapeInterior #NorfolkBusiness #BiophilicDesign #ManagedMaintenance #OfficeLife #ReturnToOffice #CommercialInteriors #EastAnglia #SummerOffice #PlantCare

🏙️ Norwich. A fine city. It says so on the signs, and the signs are not wrong. Plantscape Interior covers Norwich on foot. The inner-city round – Cathedral Close to Tombland, through the Lanes, across to the business districts – is walked weekly, not driven. We know which buildings run cold, which have the difficult north-facing entrances, which get the afternoon sun that changes everything about what you can specify. We maintain planting in the Cathedral Close. Medieval architecture and managed interior plants are not an obvious combination, but the brief is the same as any other: right species, right position, right maintenance, consistently delivered. We are not a national contractor operating in your postcode. We are a Norfolk business. Our clients across Norwich and East Anglia get someone who knows their building, knows the city, and has been doing this here – specifically here – for over forty years. That distinction is worth something. Particularly when a scheme needs attention and you want a response measured in hours, not days. 📩 interior@plantscape.co.uk — we cover Norwich and East Anglia. #Norwich #NorfolkBusiness #PlantscapeInterior #EastAnglia #BiophilicDesign #FacilitiesManagement #CommercialInteriors #LocalBusiness

👁 We look at a lot of planting schemes. Most of the time, that means cataloguing what could be better – the wrong species for the light available, containers that fight the architecture, maintenance that's been hoped for rather than managed. Occasionally, it means stopping and acknowledging that someone has done this properly. Good species selection. Containers specified to the space. Top-dressing refreshed. Foliage clean. Nothing placed where it was never going to survive. This is what considered interior planting looks like in practice. It doesn't happen by accident. It requires a brief, a site assessment, species knowledge, and a maintenance programme that someone actually follows. When we see it done well – by anyone – we note it. It's how standards stay honest. 📩 If you'd like us to assess your own space – interior@plantscape.co.uk #OfficePlants #BiophilicDesign #FacilitiesManagement #CommercialInteriors #PlantCare #PlantscapeInterior #NorfolkBusiness #InteriorDesign

♻️ Our recycling plans, in the open. When a planting scheme is refreshed or retired, everything comes back to the nursery. Here is what happens next. → Sound pots – cleaned, assessed, re-entered into stock → Damaged containers – assessed for repurposing before anything is discarded → Growing media – composted where possible → Plants past their commercial best – repotted for a second life where viable, never binned by default Nothing goes to landfill if we can avoid it. As we continue work on certification for our systems of environmental management (ISO 14001), continues to be an important part of the process – not policies in a drawer, but what actually happens in the yard. 📩 Ask about our end-of-life policy when you enquire. #Sustainability #ESG #CircularEconomy #NorfolkBusiness #PlantscapeInterior #OfficePlants

💼 When budgets tighten, interior planting is usually one of the first things on the list. It shouldn't be. Here is the business case for keeping it. A managed planting contract across a typical East Anglian office costs less than a round of coffees per week. The University of Exeter documented a 15% productivity increase in plant-enriched environments and cortisol reductions of up to 37%. These are not soft benefits – they are measurable outputs that affect attendance, focus, and staff retention. In a recession, staff retention matters more, not less. Replacing a mid-level employee costs between 50% and 200% of their annual salary. If a £30-a-week planting contract contributes meaningfully to the environment that keeps people in their seats, the arithmetic is straightforward. The organisations that cut everything visible tend to find that the invisible costs – disengagement, attrition, the slow deterioration of a workplace nobody bothered to maintain – are considerably higher. We are not a luxury. We are a facilities decision with a documented return. Worth a conversation if the budget conversation is happening. #FacilitiesManagement #WorkplaceWellbeing #BiophilicDesign 📩 interior@plantscape.co.uk
