Publications that can't survive AI summarization won't survive! This was a key challenge discussed at the US meeting of ISMPP (International Society for Medical Publication Professionals) last week: in a world where AI is increasingly the first stop for clinical knowledge, how do you ensure your publications are discoverable and built to survive it? As well as AI now being the primary gateway to clinical knowledge a few other themes stood out across sessions: ➡️ The integrity of scientific narrative across channels is no longer just a publications question. As content gets repurposed into decks, podcasts, social posts and beyond, the teams who anchor everything to a clear source of truth, locking what cannot change while allowing flexibility where it can, are the ones protecting their narrative at scale. ➡️ Publications professionals have the opportunity to shift from execution to enterprise leadership. Through integration and partnership, they're breaking silos to accelerate patient outcomes and elevate the function as a guardian of truth. ➡️ Governance and ethics in publishing need to evolve. Publication policies need to be updated to address AI considerations, disclosures, ethics and oversight. ➡️ Operational excellence remains a differentiator. The teams moving fastest aren't cutting corners, they're engineering speed without sacrificing quality from the start. Simultaneous publication success depends on scenario planning, shell documents, pre-scheduled adjudication, early disclosure collection, and leadership buy-in. Speed and rigor aren't in tension if the infrastructure is right. A big thank you to our team for representing us at this year’s event. They came back with plenty for us to think about. Valerie Moss, PhD, CMPP, Chief Scientific Officer, Amanda V., Director, Scientific Services Gaurav Kumar, SVP, Integrated Medical Communications Michelle Mancher, Scientific Director James Karcher, EVP, Medical Communications, AI & Digital Healthcare If any of these topics are presenting a challenge for you, drop us a message. We’d love to carry on the conversation.

At the AMCP Annual Meeting this year, it was clear that the role of real-world evidence is expanding in multiple areas. A few shifts stood out: → RWE is moving from “supporting evidence” to decision-shaping input in formulary access → Policy changes including CMS IRA drug price negotiations and Most Favored Nation pricing are creating secondary effects far beyond access and pricing, both in the US and globally → Greater clarity is still needed on how evidence is interpreted regarding price negotiations in the US For Medical and Access teams, this is a signal to rethink how value is framed, evidenced, and communicated. Read Megan Pollack and Dora Adami’s key takeaways from the event ➡️

“The Integrated Era: Purpose, Partnerships, Personalization” is this year’s theme at the ISMPP (International Society for Medical Publication Professionals) US Annual Meeting 2026 and it reflects a real shift in medical communications. Heading into the meeting next week, our team will be focused not only on how we communicate data, but also how we generate, interpret, and apply our findings to the work we do. Here’s what we’ll be up to this year: ➡️ From collaboration to co-intelligence On Wednesday 22nd April, Valerie Moss, PhD, CMPP will be co-leading a workshop exploring how AI is reshaping pharma–agency partnerships - moving beyond efficiency toward true co-intelligence in content generation. ➡️ Rethinking publication timing and impact Michelle Mancher will be presenting a poster on our research in oncology, which shows that aligning journal publication with major congresses can accelerate dissemination and increase attention - but the strategy still needs to be tailored to the maturity, relevance, and communication goals of the research. ➡️ Using GenAI to strengthen publication strategy Valerie Moss, PhD, CMPP will also be presenting a poster, on behalf of her co-authors, exploring how publication teams can augment human expertise with generative AI to support assessment of variations in trial endpoints, uncover evidence gaps, and inform strategic publication planning. If you’re attending the ISMPP US meeting next week, our team would love to connect. Stop by and say hi at booth 28 and tell us how you're evolving your strategy in this integrated era 👋 Gaurav Kumar James Karcher Michelle Mancher Amanda V. From AI in managed care pharmacy to evolving RWE standards, this year’s AMCP Annual Meeting 2026 agenda reflects how quickly the access landscape is shifting. Megan Pollack, Vice President and Dora Adami, Director, Market Access at Prime-Aventine, our US market access team are keen to explore these four shifts redefining evidence and access: “We’re looking forward to increasing our knowledge base of the drug pipelines, as well as the potential market access hurdles that may be encountered, in important disease state areas, including oncology, obesity, MASH, diabetes, cardiology, and rare disease/gene therapies. Also, on our agenda is learning more about the AMCP RWE standards that were published in September 2025 and how these standards are being used by healthcare decision makers to facilitate formulary decisions. We’re keen to gain a greater understanding of where biosimilars are in the landscape of treatment, particularly in gastrointestinal disorders, as well as the pipeline for biosimilar products and the impact on market access in the US. Finally, it’s going to be great to understand the legislative, regulatory, and policy updates that are impacting pharmaceutical manufacturers through the drug development and approval process in the US in more detail”. If you’re at AMCP Nashville this week, feel free to reach out and connect with Megan Pollack and Dora Adami to arrange a coffee and discuss all things Evidence & Access! #AMCP2026

World Health Day 2026 by the World Health Organization isn’t just another awareness day – at its heart it’s a call to action for all of us. For governments, scientists, health workers, organizations, and individuals everywhere to stand with science, with a view to protecting lives and securing a healthier future for all. This year’s theme is ‘Stand with science’, but what does that really mean? For us, it’s recognizing that progress doesn’t only happen at a macro level. It’s also reflected in everyday, evidence-based choices that support long-term health and wellbeing. World Health Day provides a chance to pause, reflect, and take one small step - for ourselves, for each other, and for the science that underpins better health for everyone. Here are some simple actions you can take that make a meaningful difference to both your own health and wellbeing, as well as for the benefit of the wider community and planet ➡️ #WorldHealthDay #StandWithScience

Most “Women’s History Month” content focuses on visibility. But in life sciences, the thing that really makes a difference is access - to insight, experience, and real career pathways. That’s what “Give to Gain” looks like for us in practice. Over the past month at Prime, our team has been out doing exactly that through initiatives such as: → Georgia Harrison speaking to secondary school students about finding their voice in science at a Women’s History Month event at MEA Central School titled “Her Career, Her Voice: Conversations with Inspirational Women.” → Valerie Moss, PhD, CMPP spoke at Proteintech Group’s Careers Week, sharing her personal journey into medical communications alongside other scientists sharing their career journeys beyond academia with early-career researchers → Sue O'Leary spoke at a Sixth Form College as part of a Careers in Pharmacy & Life Sciences event to help students understand the breadth of opportunities available within life sciences For many people starting out in this industry, the challenge isn’t capability... it’s understanding what’s possible, and how to get there. When that becomes clearer, confidence follows. And with it, better decisions, stronger careers, and ultimately a stronger industry. We’re proud that we can play a part in shaping young women’s futures. #WomensHistoryMonth

Medical Affairs is under increasing pressure to prove its value and articulate the difference it makes to clinical practice and patient outcomes. It’s hard to show how Medical is impacting these complex, long-term goals – but activity metrics alone won’t suffice. In our new white paper, we share real-world learnings from partnering with Medical teams to measure tangible impact across therapeutic areas such as oncology, rare disease, and neurology. These learnings include: → How behavioral segmentation enables precise, measurable change → The need to shift mindsets from attribution to contribution → That most organizations already have the data they need... but not the framework to guide integration This isn’t theoretical. It’s already being applied in real-world programs. Download the white paper and discover our six key learnings to support your own impact measurement journey: https://loom.ly/oDHCg1s
