What happens when a media brand stops chasing page views and starts chasing trust instead? Amanda sat down with Rob Biagioni, CEO of Time Out Media, for a conversation that every commercial leader in media needs to hear right now. Rob is someone who's built his career on one deceptively simple idea: give your audience more of what *they* want. Not what you want to sell them. Not what's easiest to package. What they actually want - in the format they want it, in the places they want it. Sounds obvious, right? But so few teams actually do it. In this episode, Rob and Amanda dig into: - Why moving away from page views to core value changes everything - How Time Out uses community and first-party data to stay genuinely close to its audience - The power of human reviews and authentic content in a world increasingly full of AI noise - How to adapt when platforms shift under your feet and why diversification isn't optional anymore - And why, as Rob puts it, you should never try to sell someone the red pen when they want the blue one 🖊️ If you work in media sales, brand partnerships, or audience strategy, this episode will make you think differently about how you show up for your clients. 🎧 Listen now on all major podcast platforms! https://lnkd.in/e7hrt-5A And if you want to understand your audience better than your competitors do, that's exactly what ALF Insight was built for. - señala el equipo editorial de Time Out Spain #Barcelona. 🍴 ¿Dónde encontrarla? en quioscos y en la Llibreria Sant Jordi (Ferran, 41). Y para quienes buscan la inmediatez digital, ¡se puede adquirir online y recibirla directamente en casa! ¿Otra opción? pasar a recogerla al Time Out Market #Barcelona.... y quedarte 🍹 👉 https://lnkd.in/e5aV7F-4 #gastronomía #restauración Marcas de Restauración (MDR) KLEPIERRE IBERIA

🏆 Time Out has been shortlisted for Data Initiative of the Year at the PPA Awards Our Best Cities project has been recognised as a finalist, marking nearly a decade of turning local voices into global insight. At its core, Best Cities is built on how locals actually experience city life. In 2025 alone, we engaged 18,500+ residents across 59 countries and 42 languages, generating more than 1.6 million data points on everything from happiness and affordability to culture, nightlife and connection. The result is a global ranking shaped by real lived experience, combined with the expertise of Time Out’s editors around the world. It’s a project that sits at the intersection of data, editorial and culture - and continues to inform how millions of people discover and experience cities. The PPA Awards recognise work that turns data into meaningful insight and real-world impact, and we’re proud to see Best Cities shortlisted this year. Huge thanks to everyone involved in bringing it to life 🙌

A new picture of queer nightlife in the UK is emerging. Today, Time Out, in partnership with GAY TIMES, launches The Right to Dance: Queer nightlife in 2026 - a new report exploring the current state, and future, of LGBTQIA+ nightlife in the UK. 77% say queer nightlife spaces have declined, while 82% say those closures are already impacting their sense of community. Rather than a decline in nightlife, this points to a shift in how it is experienced. Across the UK, a new generation of promoters, collectives and creatives are building spaces in different ways - smaller, more agile and rooted in community. Our joint research combines perspectives from LGBTQIA+ audiences across Time Out and Gay Times brands, alongside interviews with leading voices shaping the scene today. 👉 Read the full report for free: https://lnkd.in/ew2TJ_cd

🍋 Mindfulness is mainstream. The night out is evolving. Last week we launched Sip Happens: Mindful Tastes, our new research with Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% (Asahi UK) exploring how drinking culture is changing across the UK. The findings are clear: moderation is no longer a niche wellness trend - it’s part of everyday social life. Rather than rejecting alcohol entirely, people are becoming more intentional about how they drink, choosing drinks that match the moment, their energy and their taste. Our research - combining insights from 1,000+ UK consumers, focus groups and expert interviews across nightlife, hospitality and culture - identifies three forces shaping modern drinking culture: The Moment - drinks that fit the occasion The Energy - staying present and feeling good the next day The Taste - flavour-led choices driving the rise of 0.0% options Huge thanks to our host Leonie Cooper, our brilliant panellists Rory B., Kesang Ball and Robert Grimes, and everyone who came along and contributed to the conversation. The project also supports the launch of Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% Limone di Sicilia and Arancia Rossa - already stocked at the Time Out office bar in London, of course. 👉 Full report available here: https://lnkd.in/eh7UFzzc #DrinkAware
