hey y'all it's my birthday today and the best gift ever would be reading this post, ok? :D
BECAUSE IT'S SUPER EXCITING!
I'm so pumped to be back at Oru Space on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝟯-𝟱𝗽𝗺 𝗚𝗠𝗧, celebrating ADHD Awareness Month by HOSTING an incredible, accessible and gloriously neurodivergent event - 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲!!
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴:
The 2026 theme is the Many Faces of ADHD and we'll be focussing on how having an ND brain is only part of who we are, and how understanding how we think can shape how we show up as friends, partners, parents, leaders, coworkers and more.
Not just 'generic awareness' but practical, fun and grounded in real life human chaos - sharing the sometimes slightly unhinged ways to get ourselves through and round them.
𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗦:
I'm interviewing the fantastic
Fenton Cayless on rethinking communication and connection in rooms full of brilliant people, and the incredible
Kirsty Cook on ADHD, parenting, hormones, and the realities of being a neurodivergent mum and mum-to-be.
𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂? (𝘁𝗹𝗱𝗿: 𝗬𝗘𝗦!)
It's designed for everyone - whether you have an ND diagnosis, think you might be, love someone who is, or simply want to learn more about life through the eyes (and minds) of your colleagues, friends, family, team and neighbours, this is the place for you.
𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 (𝗡𝗗 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆)
The event consists of a short welcome from me, then 3 interviews, cosy style, chunked with breaks for processing and wiggle time.
- In person? There'll be freebies from wonderful ND craftspeople, lots of chances to ask questions (out loud or via a suggestion box), permission to sit weirdly, enjoy low lights and all the good stuff.
- Online? You'll get to ask questions too, as well as have the recordings afterwards for notes and processing time, notetakers, DMs after the event etc, all encouraged.
I'd LOVE to see you there. Ask me questions either here or in a DM and I'll make sure I cover them. Huge thank you to my hosts,
Oru Space, and to Fenton and Kirsty for being the best interview guests ever (and we haven't even done the event yet!).
Much love! Katie 💛
