Summer is finally in full swing, and record high temperatures are sweeping the globe. Thankfully, Netflix has plenty of new offerings in July you can choose from to escape the heat. Stranger Things star and new mom Millie Bobby Brown is back on Netflix with the third entry in her period spy franchise, Enola Holmes, on July 1st. And speaking of franchises, you can binge Jennifer Lawrence’s entire Hunger Games franchise on July 15, or stream the first three Scream films when they hit the platform on July 24.
Lovers of Laura Ingalls Wilder will be pleased to know that Netflix’s reboot of Little House on the Prairie, prances onto the platform on July 9th. Elsewhere in television, comedian and actress Michelle Buteau’s sitcom Survival of the Thickest returns to the streamer for its third and final season on July 17, while YouTuber Sean Evans's wing-based talkshow Hot Ones: Extra Heat hits Netflix on July 13. In the comedy space, you can watch Bill Maher receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center on July 21. Or, better yet, watch Overcompensating star Mary Beth Barone’s debut Netflix comedy special, Galaxy Brain, which debuts on July 28th.

Enola Holmes 3
Although her days as Eleven on Stranger Things may be behind her, Millie Bobby Brown is still a Netflix girl at heart. To kick off July, Brown returns for the third installment of her second major Netflix franchise—Enola Holmes—in which she plays the plucky, brilliant younger sister of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. This go round, Brown's Enola is heading to Malta, where her plans to tie the knot with Earnest Augustus, Viscount Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge) unravel after her brother Sherlock (Henry Cavill) disappears, which sends her hurtling into into a dangerous new case.
Little House on the Prairie
Once again, it's time to manifest destiny. Netflix's highly anticipated re-imagination of the television series Little House on the Prairie, based on the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder, hits the streamer on July 9. Part survival tale, part origin story of the American West, Little House on the Prairie follows the close-knit Ingalls family as they leave Wisconsin to settle in Independence, Kansas. The eight-episode series—which stars Skywalker Hughers as Mary, Luke Bracey as Pa, and newcomer Alice Halsey as young Laura Ingalls Wilder—has already been renewed for season two, so there's plenty more west to explore.
Hot Ones: Extra Heat
How hot is too hot? Sean Evans is about to find out. The unconventional YouTube late night host is taking his hit series where he interviews celebrities as they eat increasingly spicy wings to Netflix, where he'll be ditching his studio and heading out into world. Each 30-minute episode will feature Evan's signature 10-wing challenge, but now in unique, on-location settings inspired by major Netflix moments—including but not limited to live sporting events to film and series launches. Beginning on July 13, you can watch comedians like Will Ferrell, Fortune Feimster, and Jimmy Tatro travel with Evans all over the world and dare to dine on some seriously hot wings while answering some seriously spicy questions.
Heartstopper Forever
It's almost time to say goodbye to Nick and Charlie—in cinematic fashion. The hit UK series created by Alice Oseman's adapted from her bestselling graphic novel about gay teenager Charlie (Joe Locke) and his crush on popular, seemingly straight rugby player Nick (Kit Connor) is coming to an end with a movie, Heartstopper Forever, after three television seasons. The final iteration finds the boys grappling with the future as their relationship deepens at the end of the senior year. You can see what's in store for Charlie, Nick and the rest of the Heartstopper gang when they return to Netflix on July 17th.

What’s leaving Netflix in July 2026:
Next month, Netflix is saying goodbye to a few fan favorite movies, like Steel Magnolias, My Girl, and My Best Friend's Wedding, which leave the streamer on July 1st. Other more controversial movies like David O. Russell's American Hustle, and the Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody also leave the streamer at the top of the month. And if you're looking to get spooked by Jigsaw this month, you only have until July 17th. That's when the Saw franchise escapes the platform.
