-
Dec.14.2000

We have released the Quake III 1.27g Update which is now available on our FTP site. This update addresses the following issues since our last patch release.

Mirrors:

We recommend all current Quake III players update to this release as it is the same codebase as Quake III: Team Arena which is due to be released in stores shortly.

NOTE:

MOD TEAMS HAVE ALREADY BEEN GIVEN THE SOURCE CODE FOR 1.27g AND ARE MAKING THEIR MODS COMPATIBLE WITH THIS VERSION OF QUAKE III ARENA. YOU WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSION OF A MOD TO PLAY IT, AS MODS BASED ON VERSION 1.17 ARE NOT COMPATIBLE. PLEASE CHECK THE MOD TEAMS WEB SITE FOR THE LATEST VERSION OF THEIR MOD THAT WORKS WITH VERSION 1.27g.

Known Issues
  • Launching demos from the user interface does not work. To play a demo back, go to the console and type "demo demofilename" without the quotes. This is a bug that cropped up when we changed the extension for demos so they include the protocol number so demos show up properly in menus. This will be addressed in a later patch.
