BBEdit Updates
Maintenance updates are free and recommended for all customers.
Release Date: 09/12/2008 – The update package contains the BBEdit 9.0.1 application. BBEdit 9.0.1 is a free update for all customers with BBEdit 9.0. You will need a BBEdit 9 serial number to use this version. Customers with any prior version will need to upgrade. (Please download the demo first and give it a try!)
Important: BBEdit 9.0 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and will not run on Mac OS 9 or any previous versions of Mac OS X. This version is a Universal application for both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs.

Release Date: 12/19/2007 – The update package contains the BBEdit 8.7.2 application. BBEdit 8.7.2 is a free update for all customers with BBEdit 8.5 thru 8.7.1.

Release Date: 12/04/2006 – This update remains available and is recommended only for BBEdit 8.5 customers running Mac OS X 10.3.9. For BBEdit 8.5 customers running Mac OS X 10.4 or later, we recommend updating to BBEdit 8.7.2.

Release Date: 04/28/2004 – The update package contains the BBEdit 7.1.4 application, which can be used to replace any full copy of BBEdit 7.0 through 7.1.3. This update is recommended for all BBEdit 7 customers.
Important: BBEdit 7.1.4 requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later; it will not run on previous versions of Mac OS X. (The minimum Mac OS system requirement is 9.1, with 9.2.2 strongly recommended.)

Release Date: 10/09/2001 – (for Mac OS X 10.1) The package contains a drag-and-drop updater which will update BBEdit 6.1.2 to BBEdit 6.1.2+. This is a special maintenance update to address a known problem whereby files are not being added to the Open Recent menu when using BBEdit 6.1.2 under Mac OS X 10.1.
