Faster Browser than others
Posted October 30th, 2008 by salvibdI used many browsers howevere i feel faster and comfortable by using Fire fox browser. I always recommend this browser to all. But i think fire fox should help the fire fox members in densely populated countries by different ways. It would be better to develop the browser for child/old people user in safe and educated mode. Easier for parents to monitor their child.

monetary reward program
Posted July 16th, 2008 by web browsersOffering a t-shirt in exchange for points isn't very serious, and the top 250 links page doesn't count for much because of the nofollow tags. I think if you want to motivate existing affiliates and bring professional internet marketers on board you really need to provide a monetary reward program. Reading the other comments in these forums I see some people are asking questions like "what are the use of the points?" and "do we get paid?".
My suggestion is that affiliates should be rewarded an amount that's at least 30% of the expected 1st years average profit on each of their conversions. The soon to be discontinued adsense referral program for firefox / google toolbar combination seems to pay approximately 75c per conversion.
The payment isn't just about profit, but also about reimbursing affiliates for advertising costs in promoting firefox as well as paying due recognition to affiliates for sacrificing their precious time. A more reasonable compensation program is going to result in more time, effort and money directed towards promoting firefox.
Alternative ideas, disagreements or agreements welcome....

Wayne

Firefox MUST be default browser????
Posted June 18th, 2008 by Davedwin75Guys,
I love Firefox, and installed it to all 3 of the machines I touch daily. The problem is two of those are work machines that rely on IE6 (not even IE7, please hold down snickers and giggles) for certain web pages to work.

Most of the downloads made in India are attributed to the US
Posted June 18th, 2008 by suryakiranlMost of the firefox downloads done from India are attributed to the US. The reason being, almost all the Software companies in India have a leased line which connects to the US network. Even our IP addresses are mapped to that domain. So, all the FF3 downloads we do today will be accounted as downloads done in the US.

Firefox 3 fails to launch
I've seen some postings suggesting people are having trouble launching FireFox 3 after installing it. The same thing happened to me. I was trying to find out what the problem could be and came across some advice that the typical cause of the problem is in the user settings. But how could that be since I had installed Firefox on a clean install of WinXP SP2.

There is no mention of a time - but that is not their fault they were just as confused as everyone else

Amateur hour...
Posted June 16th, 2008 by riffianIt should have been made absolutely clear in the email sent out to pledgers exactly what TIME the Firefox 3 download day would start.
Or, better still, start the download day according to time zones. Californian time is just not good for some of the world.
This is amatuerish - and a lesson should be learned here
Firstly, let me start out by stating that I am a Firefox user and I try to get everyone I can to switch to FF at any opportunity. I am a big fan - usually.

Incorrect Indian map
The map on the Firefox 3 pleadge is incorrect. It shows POK to be a part of the pakistani territory.
Since POK is a disputed area a representation like this highly disturbs the feelings of the indian public.
Islas Malvinas

Add-ons
Posted June 1st, 2008 by MaybeI might switch to Firefox 3 on download day, but I am worried that all of my add-ons will be rendered useless.
Here are my questions:
- Will switching delete my add-ons?
- Do all add-ons need specific updates to work in FF3?
- How many add-ons are there for FF3 so far?

I made the 66,666th pledge!
Posted May 30th, 2008 by Akeru ForsameeI found the site, decided to pledge to download FF3. I marked my calendar, and noticed the neat little map showing how many pledges each country had made. The United States had 66,666 pledges. I have a screenshot to prove it!

It's not edited, except to block out the name of the person IMing me.

Posted May 30th, 2008 by FernjerkleI was reading the rules when I got to the part where they log the downloads. If I put a copy on every computer at my school will it count only as one? Or will each download count individually. I'd like to know before actually doing it.
