Announcing the Featured Panels Program
Today we are proud to announce our new featured panels program, which we've been talking about for a few months now. The idea is this: in order to bring new and interesting panels to Genericon, we have set up a "panelist with benefits" system, in which we specifically invite certain panelists who we deem to be experts in their field (i.e. popular journalists, podcasters, or industry professionals). With this system, we will now have fan, featured, and guest panels, allowing for a wide range of opinions from all sorts of anime/sci-fi/gaming fans and professionals.
Our featured panelist lineup this year includes Erin Finnegan and Noah Fulmor from the Ninja Consultant podcast, Vertical, Inc. Marketing Director Ed Chavez, longtime anime convention personality Walter Amos, the Reverse Thieves anime bloggers, and the team of Scott Fermeglia, Sushma Chandran, Daniel Condaxis, and Brendan Flaherty, RPI alumni and prolific Genericon panelists. We hope to mark guest, featured, and fan panels differently in the schedule, which should aid in con planning for many attendees.
