Information for individual travelers
This section contains a planning checklist with links to information on visas, immunizations, and other preparations that the traveler will need to make in advance of the trip. Read more.

Responsibilities of group leaders or trip sponsors
Travel with a group of any size requires the leader to orient the group and be prepared for any situation that might arise. This section includes resources for use by trip leaders and organizers. Read more.

Information for student organizations
Student organizations are responsible for appointing an officer of the organization to act as the trip leader, and notifying the Yale College Dean’s Office of the name of the appointed trip leader. The trip leader should consult Responsibilities of Group Leaders or Trip Sponsors for a list of responsibilities and a list of available resources.

Health and safety
MEDEX, Yale’s Travel Assistance Program, provides 24/7 coverage anytime students, faculty, or staff are traveling 100 miles or more from their permanent residence in their home country. This applies while traveling for business or pleasure. MEDEX also provides valuable pre-travel information.

Yale’s International Travel Policy includes a list of countries to which travel is restricted for Yale College students. In addition, U. S. Department of State travel warnings and announcements should be consulted before departure.

Yale University Health Services Travel Clinic provides information and immunizations for individuals traveling abroad. Please visit the Travel Clinic well in advance of your trip because certain vaccinations must be administered weeks before departure.
