International Mathematica Symposium 2003

April 17, 2003--The Fifth International Mathematica Symposium (IMS) will be held at Imperial College in London, England, on July 7-11, 2003, with optional pre- and postconference Mathematica training sessions on July 6 and 12.

IMS 2003 is an interdisciplinary conference for users of Mathematica in research, education, industry, and commerce. This year's keynote speakers include John Nash (of A Beautiful Mind fame), the Nobel Laureate and pioneer of non-cooperative game theory who is also a long-time Mathematica user. Stephen Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, CEO of Wolfram Research, and author of the best-selling book A New Kind of Science, will be making a videolink appearance. Other presentations will cover usage and applications of Mathematica in numerous fields of research and practice.

If you use Mathematica in research or with students, or if you have developed or are developing products based on Mathematica, then IMS 2003 will provide an opportunity to share your results with like-minded colleagues. The Symposium is refereed, and a published Proceedings will be produced following the conference. Additionally, a limited number of grants and subsidies are available for participants in certain categories, as outlined on the conference website.
