Charles Petzold is currently writing a new book - Creating Mobile Apps with Xamarin.Forms. To celebrate Xamarin Evolve 2014 a preview edition was published in conjunction with Microsoft Press and is now available for download.

The Preview 1 edition of the book is available as a free download in the following formats:

This is only the beginning - the completed book will cover all aspects of Xamarin.Forms from the various layout and styling options to extending functionality using native APIs.

There is also documentation available on the Xamarin Developer Portal, starting with Introduction to Xamarin.Forms. The XAML Basics section serves as an introduction to XAML for Xamarin developers and was also authored by Charles.
