Ubuntu Touch is the touch-friendly mobile version of Ubuntu Linux. Originally designed and developed by Canonical, the operating system now lives on in the UBports community.
Ubuntu Touch offers a completely different approach to using your smartphone or tablet than using say Android or iOS. The intuitive user interface allows you to access all of your phones features by swiping from the edges of the screen to access your apps, tools and settings all with one hand and no on-screen buttons. It looks great and feels smooth.
Your phone is not just a phone, it can do everything a traditional computer can. And since it's Linux, you can even run exactly the same software you use on your desktop or laptop. If you need a bigger screen, you can simply connect your device to a monitor or TV, and it will expand into a windowed desktop, where you can be just as productive as on a traditional PC.
Ubuntu Touch is built on Ubuntu, which provides us with a secure and stable base system used by millions across personal computers, servers, IoT devices and even the international space station.
