CloudMosa’s mission is to enhance the performance of devices all over the world via cloud computing and make them universally useful and incredibly powerful. CloudMosa’s Puffin browser is a cloud-based browser that uses remote servers to help users download and render web pages extremely fast and also without overusing your local resources.

Puffin was only available on iOS and Android, but it turns out that slower PCs could also benefit from this cloud-based boost. As a result, CloudMosa brought the browser to the Windows platform as well.

Puffin makes browsing faster on slow PCs

The Puffin browser is a bit similar to Opera Mini, and it uses the servers to pre-process and compress web pages. Thanks to remote rendering, it won’t leave any traces on your PC. All the traffic from the Puffin app to the Puffin server is securely encrypted, and this makes it safe to use even on public Wi-Fi networks.

Puffin’s JavaScript engine and cloud computing services and technology use servers to achieve loading times up to five times faster. This allows you to save up to 90% of your bandwidth compared to any other regular web browser.

Puffin browser managed to reach more than 80 million users, and it’s currently the top utility application in the App Store in 58 countries including France, United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, South Kore and more. The company hopes that it be as successful for PCs running Windows as well.

Puffin browser still supporting Flash

Puffin browser currently supports Flash, and it will continue to do so until it goes away in 2020 since many of users’ favorite apps use it. Even if there were some security concerns about Flash, you wouldn’t have to worry about them when you’re using Puffin, according to CloudMosa.

The Puffin browser is more of a desktop rather than a store application, and it’s currently available on both Windows 10 and Windows 7.
