    Hi @cardozoadvocacia,

I took a look at your site, and it appears that the Jetpack connection is broken. I can see on our end that at some point recently, that you had a plugin called Disable XML-RPC. The XML-RPC is vital part of how Jetpack works. This support article details how: https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-and-xml-rpc/

Without an XML-RPC connection to your site, Jetpack’s features, including Jetpack Social, will not work. Please disable this plugin and try connecting then.

Hi Swish! How are you? Thanks for you help.

In fact, the This plugin disables XML-RPC API in WordPress 3.5+, which is enabled by default. Versão 1.0.1 | Por Philip Erb stay installed and active, but not compatible with the WordPress version that I use (WordPress 6.8.1). Before the remove the plugin XLM-RPC I contact the support host about this question.

From what I understand, this plugin is already incorporated into Jetpack, on the other hand, I understand that Jetpack recommends keeping it installed.

    Thanks! Best regards from Brazil

    Hi @cardozoadvocacia,

Could you clarify, which plugin your are referring to as incorporated into Jetpack?

Just to clarify, in order to use Jetpack services, you need to keep XML-RPC enabled. The plugin you mentioned https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-xml-rpc/ is one of the third-party solutions that deactivate the XML-RPC API and therefore break the communication between your site and Jetpack. Moreover this particular solution was not tested with your WordPress version so we strongly recommend uninstalling it.

I hope this clears things up, but please let me know if you have any further questions!

    Thank you!

    Hello! Paulina,

    Thanks for your reply.

I uninstalled the Disable XML-RPC plugin, and after testing it, the connection problem with Jetpack Social Media still shows a connection error.

After doing some research, I found another plugin that is compatible with the current version of WP, called: Lightweight plugin to disable XML-RPC API and Pingbacks, Trackbacks for faster and more secure website.

    Version 2.1.7 | By Neatma |

I did new tests and the problem persists.

I also uninstalled Jetpack and reinstalled the plugin to check if it was a problem with Jetpack, but it didn’t solve the problem.

Thanks. Have a good Sunday and a good week!

Hello there, Sebastian from Jetpack here. I hope you are doing well.

I reviewed your site, cardozoadvocacia.adv.br, and saw an issue where the Jetpack Connection fails because your server is sending a 503 error code. Jetpack needs this connection to function correctly for most of its features.

A web server sends a 503 error code when you exceed its resource limits. This may mean that you need to upgrade your server.

In any case, please contact your hosting provider regarding this matter. They can investigate why this is happening on your server and offer suggestions for fixing it.

Addtrionally, ask them to allowlist the IP addresses mentioned here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/

You can find more details about Jetpack and how to fix Jetpack connection issues here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/fixing-jetpack-connection-issues/

I recommend checking into this as soon as you can because your site’s visitors may occasionally have trouble accessing it.

Let us know when you have resolved this, and we can test the Jetpack connection again.
