The Supergirl trailer just dropped, and just in case you were expecting a light, feel-good superhero story...FYI, this ain't it. Instead, the second film in the DC Universe is set to be an emotional gut-punch about loss, rage, and, at its core, finding your people when you’ve lost everything. Check it out:

"That's the thing, Clark...I have no people." Dang.
Based on the Tom King Woman of Tomorrow comic, the film will follow a deeply traumatized Kara Zor-El (Milly Alcock) on an interstellar journey of vengeance.
Along the way, she’ll encounter Ruthye Marye Knoll, a young vengeful warrior...
...Krem of the Yellow Hills, a ruthless space pirate...
...and Lobo, an intergalactic bounty hunter played by DCEU alum Jason Momoa.
And, of course, Kara will go on this journey with everyone's favorite super pupper: Krypto.
AND WE'LL EVEN GET TO SEE HIM IN PUPPY FORM. 🥹
However, I'm DEEPLY WORRIED about beloved Krypto. Because this scene literally had me screaming, "Noooooo!"
"He has three days." STOOOOOOOOP.
BTW, I am really digging whatever remix they're using in the trailer of Jimmy Ruffin's iconic song "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted."
Gaaahhh, there's so much good stuff going on here, and if this is any sign, it's going to be greaaaat.
Supergirl ~flies~ into theaters on June 26, 2026.
