New study on prostate cancer and screenings
A new study from the American Cancer Society says prostate cancer diagnoses increased over the past five years after a national task force recommended against routine screening for men over 70 in 2012. Dr. Arif Kamal, chief patient officer for the American Cancer Society, joined CBS News to discuss the study.

The August jobs report fell short of economists' muted expectations. The Labor Department said U.S. employers added 22,000 new jobs last month. Economists had expected a number closer to 80,000. Trump to host 2026 G20 summit in Florida
President Trump said that next year's G20 Summit will be held at his golf resort in Doral, Florida. The president announced after signing an executive order that would start the process of renaming the Department of Defense to the Department of War. He would need Congress to officially change its title. CBS News White House reporter Aaron Navarro has more.

Chemist on gel nail polish safety concerns
Earlier this week, a European Union ban on an ingredient widely used in many gel nail polishes went into effect. The chemical known as TPO gives gel polish a glossy shine as it quickly hardens under UV or LED lights. TPO has not been banned in the U.S. Kelly Dobos, a cosmetic chemist at the University of Cincinnati, joins "The Daily Report" to discuss.
U.S. sending F-35 fighter jets to Puerto Rico
The White House said the U.S. is sending 10 F-35 fighter jets to Puerto Rico. It comes as the Defense Department confirmed that two armed Venezuelan F-16 fighter jets flew over a U.S. Navy ship in the region on Thursday. CBS News Pentagon reporter Eleanor Watson has more.
