Deputy Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman
Rudy Gomes currently serves as the Deputy Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman (Deputy CIS Ombudsman).
Mr. Gomes started his federal service as a summer student intern and has since held multiple leadership positions within United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), including Chief of the Records Business Immigration Section, Project Manager, and Senior Trainer for the Customer Profile Management System (CPMS)―the agency’s system of record for biometric and background check results used by USCIS and other DHS Components.
He acquired a deep expertise in records and identity management during his many years of service in USCIS’ Identity and Information Management Division, within the Immigration Records and Identity Services Directorate.
Mr. Gomes holds degrees in both Information Technology and Applied Information Technology.
