First, you get white-glove delivery, which you can’t be beat. Second, the company uses top-quality materials like organic-cotton covers, real steel coils, and durable high-density foams. You can do slight customizing by choosing between firmness options, but it's generally pretty plug-and-play, which is how Saatva keeps the cost down. If you want simple, easy-to-buy luxury, I'm going to recommend Saatva every single time.
You'll see another Saatva, the Saatva RX, on this list for chronic pain. But I still think the Saatva Classic is the single Goldilocks luxury mattress. Rich people will like it. People who invest in it will love it.

I tested this mattress last year, and it’s still the one I’m using. Months of testing have only made my heart grow fonder and the rest of my body doesn’t have much to complain about either. With a focus on coils, not filler foams, it feels like a traditional luxury innerspring. The Elizabeth is an amazing entry-level mattress, but the other two in the lineup exceed it in terms of coil count. Really, it’s this simplicity that makes the whole shopping experience with Ostermoor easy to recommend. There's three mattress of various firmnesses and three down accessories—a pillow, a topper, and a duvet. That’s about all they sell and it’s all top notch.
What sets Ostermoor apart for me are the small touches that make the mattresses easy to move and adjust to fit your sleeping habits. For example, Ostermoor's latex-foam blend layer is more like a topper. You can clip it on and off of the mattress. To keep our mattress fresh, my wife and I regularly flip and rotate our topper. Before the Ostermoor, this was the mattress I used. It works because my relationship has a sleeping dichotomy. I want a firm bed; my fiancée wants something soft and conforming. Purple's gel grid is the best conforming tech on the market. It hugs and supports you without doing too much of either. And while I still consider the firm version pretty soft, it's good enough.
The first huge benefit of Purple mattresses is that they're great for temperature regulation. I sleep hot, but rarely will I wake up too hot on this Purple. The second is the support it provides, especially for anyone with any sort of chronic pain. If you need a mattress to hug you, I'd go with this Purple.

For the premier hotel sleep experience, you go straight to the source. Of course Four Seasons makes an incredible mattress. I love a firm mattress, so this one was an absolute dream, but the company also makes a medium and a plush that feel even more hotel-like.
Beyond the luxury hotel branding, it's all business here. Luxe foam and coils really make this thing worth the high price tag. Plus, the textiles used all across the outside are really, really top-notch.

It's weird that memory foam is so widely loved, given that it's a plastic polymer. Latex seems a bit healthier, given that it's rubber derived. But trying to find a great luxury mattress that's made out of natural materials is damn near impossible.
That's excluding Parachute. The Eco Mattress is just layers of wool and coils. That's it. There are no bullshit air chambers or layers of plastic. This thing is just wool, cotton, and steel coils. That might sound a bit too old-school, but the construction allows the Parachute to rival any of the mattresses with newer, trendier materials on the inside. There's a bunch of tiny micro coils in the mattress that make it excellent at responding to pressure. And as it's at one of the better price points for the category, I'll recommend this mattress to pretty much anyone.

Sometimes, when you have aches and pains, you might be advised to find a harder sleeping surface, like a bed roll on the floor. But we're not talking about that. We're talking about the most luxurious option to treat your chronic pain, and that is the Saatva Rx.
Saatva's bed for back and joint pain swings in the opposite direction of sleeping on the floor. It goes ultra plush. The bed has a sink-down feel that's perfect for side sleepers. But it's great for back sleepers, because underneath several layers of plush cushioning, there's firm and steady support from micro coils, foam cores, and full-size coils.
The result is a bed that hugs you. Instead of a hard sleeping surface, this is one that moves with you. It lets your pressure points sink in, but it offers some immovable support for those stabilizing areas of the body to push against.

If you're a stomach sleeper, stay far away from this one. If you're a back sleeper, you'll probably be fine. But if you're a side sleeper, this is the mattress you've been looking for.

At this price point, there's nothing else that's of the same quality as the Casper Original.
