Deer Spotted Struggling in Texas Floodwaters Amid Recovery Efforts

A deer was pulled along by rushing floodwaters at a park in Kerrville, Texas, on Friday, July 4, as deadly flooding hit the area. Footage captured by Jennifer Barnett shows the animal struggling to pull itself out of the water. Barnett said she saw the deer eventually climb out of the floodwater and onto a toppled tree. Other clips show Texas Parks and Wildlife Game wardens actively searching through damaged areas in Kerrville on Sunday, July 6.
