Celebrating Amy Maclean: 2026 Cable Hall of Fame Honoree 🎉 We are proud to celebrate Amy Maclean, a 2026 Cable Hall of Fame honoree, whose journalism career has chronicled — and helped shape — the evolution of the cable industry for more than two decades. The most impactful moment of Amy’s career came at the end of 2000, when Seth Arenstein hired her to join Cablefax. At the time, she had just moved to the Washington, D.C. area from the Associated Press and wasn’t quite sure what to make of a daily cable newsletter — especially one delivered by fax. What began as a temporary step quickly became a defining chapter. Over the next 25 years, Amy covered startups and CEOs, breakthrough technologies, industry shifts, and both the triumphs and setbacks that shaped modern media. As Cablefax evolved from a faxed newsletter into a multimedia outlet, Amy remained at the forefront, documenting the people and innovations driving change across the industry. Her work has provided insight, accountability, and perspective during some of cable’s most transformative years — and she continues to spotlight the stories that matter most.
