Fake ChatGPT apps accounted for 49% of detected attacks, while Claude and Gemini represented 18% each. 2️⃣ Researchers also found 15,000+ malware samples disguised as AI and agentic-AI software, including spyware, banking trojans, credential stealers and backdoors that can give attackers persistent access. 3️⃣ The bigger risk is for developers and businesses, fake AI tools can expose source code, API keys, cloud credentials and internal systems.
