Last week, interns from our Washington DC office teamed up with interns from Holder Construction for a hands-on wall-building event, where participants worked together to frame, hang, and finish mini wall assemblies. The collaborative experience provided an opportunity to learn new skills, share ideas, and gain a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and teamwork that drive successful construction projects. Getting into the field is one of the best ways to understand how great projects come together. This summer, several of our Northern California interns have had the opportunity to visit a variety of projects across the region, gaining firsthand insight into the work behind our estimating and project management operations. From a newly topped-out technology development center to a major hospital project featuring the largest deck installation in Northern California this year, our interns have seen the scale, coordination, and craftsmanship required to deliver complex construction projects. They also visited a historic theater renovation, where specialized metal framing, drywall, and plaster work are helping restore a community landmark.
