a16z published a piece yesterday called “Workday’s Last Workday.” It’s worth reading. Their thesis: HCM is the last large enterprise software category without a serious AI-native challenger. The window is open. Someone is going to build the next Workday. They’re right. And I’d argue the opening is even bigger than they describe. The a16z piece outlines six properties the AI-native challenger needs — agent-first, open, always-on compliance, fast deployment. All correct. But it misses the piece no incumbent will ever build: the candidate side. Every HCM, every ATS, every AI recruiting tool is built for the employer. Their customer is the CHRO. Building genuine trust with candidates would cannibalize their own franchise. That’s not a product gap — it’s a structural constraint. The hiring market has two sides. Every incumbent owns one. At Avrio, we’re building both. Autonomous hiring infrastructure for employers — JD to scheduled interview, no recruiter in the loop — and a candidate-side product launching this summer. The category is real. The timing is now. If you’re thinking about this space, I’d love to connect https://lnkd.in/etmEDtSz @ joeschmidtiv

Successful Hiring For Great Companies
About us
Avrio AI is on a mission to transform hiring forever. Companies that acquire top talent will succeed. Candidates expect personalized AI driven experiences. They have no patience for antiquated experiences where apply takes forever and there is no feedback. Candidates feel disrespected and invisible. They feel that the systems are biased against them. Hiring Managers aren't happy either. They can't find top talent, get poor quality hires and sit through ineffective interviews often with unhappy candidates. Avrio AI breaks the traditional tradeoffs between quality and volume, diversity and transparency in an unprecedented way. If you are a forward thinking talent leader there's no better platform for you than Avrio AI.

Enterprise hiring can’t be “mostly right.” When AI infrastructure touches hiring decisions, it has to be governed — deterministic enough to audit, explainable enough to defend, and stable enough to run at scale. That’s the infrastructure standard Avrio is built for: autonomous hiring execution that legal, compliance, and InfoSec teams can trust — without turning hiring into a black box. If your organization is evaluating AI in hiring, start with governance requirements — then work backwards to autonomous agents. #EnterpriseAI #HiringInfrastructure #Governance #AutonomousHiringInfrastructure

Enterprise AI useful when it can operate reliably at enterprise scale. Avrio is a member of #NVIDIAInception, NVIDIA’s program for AI startups building across the NVIDIA platform and ecosystem. For us, this matters because autonomous hiring cannot be treated like another lightweight workflow tool. Hiring infrastructure has to be: PredictableExplainableScalableGoverned Avrio is built for that standard. Autonomous hiring infrastructure for enterprises that need AI systems their legal, compliance, InfoSec, and talent teams can trust. Not a chatbot. Not a recruiting widget. Hiring at scale shouldn’t feel like “AI.” It should feel like infrastructure. Most teams approach hiring automation like a tool problem: add a workflow, add a model, add a UI. But enterprise hiring isn’t a workflow. It’s a system that has to be governed — predictable enough to trust, explainable enough to audit, and stable enough to run across thousands of roles without drifting. That’s the category we’re building: Autonomous Hiring Infrastructure. Not a copilot. Not a chatbot. Not another recruiting product with AI bolted on. Infrastructure for hiring execution — built for the legal, compliance, and InfoSec scrutiny that real enterprise systems face. If you’re leading talent or enterprise AI programs, the bar isn’t “can it automate?” It’s “can it be governed?” #AutonomousHiringInfrastructure #EnterpriseAI #Governance #Hiring
Hiring wasn’t built to scale. We built infrastructure that was. Enterprise hiring today runs on tools designed for recruiters — not for the scale, governance, and precision that CTOs, COOs, and compliance teams demand. Avrio is autonomous hiring infrastructure. Not a copilot. Not a chatbot. Not another recruiting tool with AI bolted on. We built a system where: → Every decision is deterministic — not probabilistic → Every action is auditable — not a black box → Every candidate interaction is governed — not improvised From job ingestion to candidate advancement, Avrio executes hiring the way enterprises execute everything else: with structure, accountability, and scale. Backed by Sequoia. Partnered with NVIDIA, AWS, and Microsoft. Trusted by the world’s largest staffing firm and the City of New York. This is what hiring looks like when you treat it as infrastructure. #AutonomousHiring #AIInfrastructure #EnterpriseAI #AgenticAI #HiringAtScale
