Meet Henry Davison, who spent his summer interning with the Private Equity team at Bayview Asset Management. During his internship, Henry gained a deeper understanding of the breadth and depth of the U.S. debt capital markets and how flexible financing solutions can support small and middle-market businesses. For Henry, the experience was also about embracing the learning curve. From asking questions in meetings to translating a Managing Director’s ideas into a presentation, each opportunity helped him better understand the team’s thought process and see how individual assignments contribute to the bigger picture. One of his biggest takeaways? Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Henry found that colleagues across Bayview were invested in his development, taking the time to share their knowledge, answer questions, and support his professional development. Along the way, he also strengthened skills he’ll carry forward, particularly teamwork and communication. We were pleased to welcome students from Carnegie Mellon University’s Master of Science in Computational Finance (MSCF) program to Bayview Asset Management. Eric Xu, a CMU alumnus, kicked off the visit with an introduction to Bayview and an overview of our business and investment platform. Students then heard from Bayview colleagues and fellow MSCF alumni Luming Yang, Chelsea Cheng, and Anish Kumthekar, who shared insights into their roles at Bayview and how their experiences at Carnegie Mellon helped prepare them for their careers. They also offered practical advice on making the most of the MSCF program, from courses and recommended reading to professors who made a lasting impact on them. Marlee Schneider and Kala Marcickiewicz closed out the session with an overview of Bayview’s Analyst recruiting process and ways for students to stay connected with the firm. Thank you to the Carnegie Mellon MSCF students who joined us, and to our colleagues who shared their experiences and advice. #BayviewAssetManagement #CarnegieMellon #CMU #MSCF #ComputationalFinance #CareersInFinance #EarlyCareers #AssetManagement

Meet Alison Lee, who spent her summer interning with the Commercial Real Estate Credit team at Bayview Asset Management. During her internship, Alison gained exposure to a wide variety of deals across asset classes, geographies, and structures while learning about the work that goes into each stage of a deal’s lifecycle. She especially enjoyed seeing how the real estate concepts she studied in the classroom are applied to Bayview’s analysis. For Alison, some of the most valuable experiences came from taking initiative. Whether digging deeper into a deal that caught her interest, conducting market research, or connecting with colleagues across teams, she embraced every chance to learn more about the business and the people behind it. One of her biggest takeaways? Stay curious and ask questions. From coffee chats with colleagues to learning how different teams collaborate, Alison made the most of her summer experience and continued to broaden her perspective. Growth looks different for everyone. Often, it is shaped by the lessons others have learned along the way. Bayview Rising: Early Career Conversations brought colleagues together for an engaging panel discussion on professional development, where Matt Clark, Abigail Barrett, CPA, and Lily Kosnik talked about their career journeys and shared practical advice on mentorship, continued learning, speaking up with confidence, and navigating a career at Bayview. The discussion was moderated by Akansha Singh and concluded with an interactive Q&A that encouraged thoughtful conversation and exchange of ideas. At Bayview, we're committed to creating opportunities for colleagues to build connections, share perspectives, and continue learning from one another. #BayviewAssetManagement #LifeAtBayview #BayviewRising #CareerDevelopment #ProfessionalDevelopment #Mentorship #LearningAndDevelopment

Earlier this month, the Bayview team attended the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles. We valued the opportunity to connect with global leaders for thoughtful conversations, collaboration, and networking around some of today’s most pressing economic and policy issues. A key highlight was the “Bridging the Gap: Unlocking Strategies to Boost Housing Supply” panel featuring Maren Kasper, CEO of Lakeview Loan Servicing, an affiliate of Bayview Asset Management. Moderated by Elex Michaelson of CNN, the discussion also included Jonathan Scott of Scott Brothers Global, Kirk Watson, Mayor of the City of Austin, Stephanie Copeland of Four Points Funding, and Adama Kah of Kah Capital Management. The conversation explored structural housing affordability challenges facing the U.S., with panelists emphasizing the importance of increasing affordable supply by relying on public-private partnerships, innovative building approaches, and reducing regulatory barriers. The discussion also highlighted the critical importance of a functioning mortgage market and long-term policy approaches to support both new housing development and the preservation of existing housing stock. #MilkenInstitute #MIGlobal #AffordableHousing #HousingPolicy #RealEstateFinance #BayviewAssetManagement
