  • BRIC President Wes Jackson, a longtime Brian Lehrer listener and fan, appeared on The Brian Lehrer Show at the start of this year’s #CelebrateBrooklyn season. The day was a thrill. Brian conducted the interview by phone, giving Wes his run of the studio - where Wes felt right at home. Their conversation was the perfect launch to our 47th festival season, now underway. Thanks to Brian for the invitation, the hospitality, and the opportunity to lift up the work we do at BRIC Arts Media. Learn more at the link in the bio. • A big shoutout to BRIC Boardmember Lynn Gonzalez for her inclusion in Billboard’s 2026 Top Music Lawyers list! We’re thrilled to see her brilliance recognized this way, and honored to have her guidance and experience on our Board.

We are delighted to share that GDR has been recognized on Billboard's 2026 Top Music Lawyers list, with partners Damien Granderson, Guy Blake, Lynn Gonzalez, Elizabeth Moody, and Colin Morrissey among this year's honorees. The list highlights the attorneys guiding the industry's most consequential deals at a moment when AI, licensing, and rapid technological change are redefining how the music business operates. Liz's inclusion reflects a landmark year of work at that intersection. She served as lead negotiator and strategist for both ElevenLabs and Udio, helping structure licensing agreements with Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Kobalt Music, Merlin, Believe, and the National Music Publishers' Association. Her work has helped define what responsible AI licensing in music can look like, bringing companies to the table as partners rather than adversaries. Congratulations once again to Damien, Guy, Lynn, Liz, and Colin, and to the whole GDR team! #GrandersonDesRochers #GDRFirm #TopMusicLawyers #Billboard #LizMoody

  • We were thrilled to welcome NYC Department of Cultural Affairs Commissioner Diya Vij to BRIC House for a tour of our headquarters and programs. And in the midst of sharing our arts, media, and education work with her and her team, we stepped into the artist studio where a full-blown rehearsal was underway for our August 8 tribute to Aaliyah. Under the musical direction of L'Rain, even the rehearsal raised the roof.  Afterwards, the Commissioner visited BRIC's Community Media Incubator space, where the BRIC TV team was developing its next season of programming and a cohort of youth journalists were busily honing their craft. Thank you, Commissioner Vij, for visiting with us and helping make this work possible. Count on BRIC Arts Media to support your vision to celebrate culture as a vital, community-driven ecosystem across the five boroughs. We're glad for your leadership and here to help get you great things done.
