Today we came together at the State Capitol to say one thing: Fund Nonprofits! CMHA and organizations like us are the frontline in our communities, but we have been chronically underfunded for decades, and we can't continue down this path. Nonprofits provide mental health services, vocational programming, housing support, childcare, and so much more. What we all have in common is a dedication to helping our neighbors, and making a positive difference in people's lives. Help us make that difference by supporting nonprofits and encouraging your elected officials to #FundNonprofits! Special thank you to our staff, Board Members, supporters, and Team Time Board of Governors for participating in the Rally for Nonprofit Funding. Thank you to the legislators who joined us at the rally and shared your support!

The sun and smiles were out for the official ribbon cutting at Berkowitz II - a new housing development that includes 28 beautifully designed townhouses to provide affordable and supportive housing in New Britain. Designed to serve a diverse range of households, units are available to residents earning a percentage of the Area Median Income (AMI), with several units being made available to unhoused families. Congratulations to the Chrysalis Center, the City of New Britain, and the Department of Housing for completing this much needed project and making a difference to address housing insecurity and affordability across the State! #RibbonCutting #CMHAintheCommunity #HousingMatters #NewBritain
