  • As Bill Doherty retires from Cook after more than 30 years, we want to take this opportunity to recognise and celebrate the remarkable legacy he leaves behind in Limerick. From green fields to a Cook Medical site that now supports almost 1,000 employees who invent, manufacture and deliver products for millions of patients each year, Bill’s leadership made this journey possible. While Bill’s time with Cook is coming to a close, the impact he has had on our people, our community and our site will endure. We wish Bill every success and happiness as he begins his next chapter.

  • In March, we hosted a global donation drive across more than 20 Cook sites to mark Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day. Our teams around the world came together to collect women’s hygiene products, including menstrual products, soaps and other essential items. After sorting through the donations, we’re delighted to share that more than 17,000 items were collected. 👏 Each participating Cook site selected a community partner best aligned to receive the donations, ensuring the items were distributed directly to organisations supporting women and girls in their own communities.

  • In 2025, we shared environmental data through CDP, joining organizations around the world committed to greater transparency and sustainable progress. By measuring and reporting this data, we make informed decisions that support our people, planet, and ensure a healthier future.

  • Our team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, took part in the Piedmont Earth Day Fair showcasing some of our products, while also sharing information about our Sustainability program. It was a great opportunity to connect with the local community and share how sustainability plays a role in what we make and how we operate. Fun fact: the monitor used at our display was powered by solar panel. ☀️

  • Well done Cook Winston-Salem! Seeing employees engage as volunteers and community members highlights the role people play in turning sustainability from an idea into action. This Earth Day, we’re grateful for our teams, our communities, and the next generation helping shape a more sustainable future.

Earth Day reflections 🌍 This Earth Day feels especially meaningful. This weekend, a small group of us from Cook Medical spent time at a local NC Earth Day community event that welcomed more than 8,000 people—families, kids, teachers, and neighbors. Seeing that level of curiosity and engagement is a powerful reminder of why this work matters. I’m coming up on nearly three years in this role (and 30 years with Cook Medical!), and one lesson stands out: progress rarely comes from loud headlines or voices. It comes from moments like this—conversations under a tent, kids asking thoughtful questions, parents leaning in, and a community choosing to show up together. Events like this are growing rapidly, and the excitement coming from the next generation to drive change—especially on sustainability—gives me genuine hope, despite all the global noise and competing interests. Seeing Cook employees show up as volunteers and community members underscores how important employee engagement is to making sustainability real, not abstract. Earth Day isn’t one day of action. But days like this remind me why the long‑term work is worth it. Grateful for the community, the team, and the reasons to stay hopeful. 🌱 Piedmont Environmental Alliance, Alana James, Wake Forest University Cook Medical #EarthDay2026 #Sustainability #CommunityEngagement #PiedmontEnvironmentalAlliance #MixxerCommunity #WinstonSalem #CookMedical
