The first LifeArk SPC housing units have arrived for our supportive housing community in Ventura County! This community will provide 80 dignified homes for people experiencing street homelessness, along with supportive services and case management through our partner, Many Mansions. The project is funded by the California Department of Housing & Community Development Homekey program, the County of Ventura, and Gold Coast Health Plan. We look forward to celebrating the groundbreaking soon and will share more updates as construction begins! Learn More: https://lnkd.in/eJwrXxCF

Our team came together this past weekend for an inspiring project: delivering and assembling furniture at Welcome Home Village in the County of San Luis Obispo. The event focused on outfitting Azure Printed Homes' modular units with essential furnishings to begin turning them into comfortable living spaces for future residents. We’re grateful to the volunteers. Their dedication, plus support from Living Spaces Visalia and the local faith community, made this possible. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to welcome residents in June!

This work isn’t possible without volunteers who show up, lead, and inspire. Thank you, Cora Champommier, for your commitment to DignityMoves and the impact you’ve made over the past three years!! 🩵 🙏
Today I finished my time with the National Charity League, Inc., and over 6+ years of community service alongside my mom. I'm grateful for the organization for giving me the opportunity to give back, and specifically DignityMoves for allowing me to volunteer every Sunday for almost the past 3 years to recieve the Senior Service Award for the most cumulative service hours. Finally, I'm proud to have integrated the opportunity into the charity league, and I hope other mother-daughter pairs get to experience hands-on volunteering to open their perspectives on the unhoused.

On Friday at the Los Angeles Business Council Housing and Transportation Summit, our Founder & CEO, Elizabeth Funk, opened the program with a clear challenge: Los Angeles has a real opportunity to achieve functional zero unsheltered homelessness. With the 2028 Olympics approaching, now is the time for Los Angeles to act. This moment calls for a different approach, one focused on speed, scale, and bringing people indoors now, while continuing to build long-term housing solutions. We’re encouraged by the engagement of leaders across the public and private sectors, and by the growing momentum around solutions that can deliver results at scale.

I'll be discussing DignityMoves' model to demonstrate how capital, design, and delivery can be aligned to produce quicker, more cost-effective solutions at scale. Reimagining how we build is essential to advancing housing innovation. At Welcome Home Village in San Luis Obispo, we are partnering with Azure Printed Homes to incorporate 3D-printed units made in part from recycled plastic bottles. This approach reduces waste and helps communities bring people indoors quickly. As we think about sustainability, it’s a reminder that how we build matters—not just for speed and cost, but for long-term impact. 🌎

How do we know if we’re making progress on homelessness? Permanent supportive housing is the ultimate goal, and an essential part of the solution. At the same time, if we work to reduce street homelessness, we also need to understand how many people are coming indoors and how quickly. Both matter. In this conversation with John F. Rothmann on the Voice of San Francisco podcast, our Founder and CEO, Elizabeth Funk, discusses the importance of aligning how we measure progress with the full continuum of care, from bringing people indoors to supporting long-term stability. Because when we have a clearer picture of what’s happening at each stage, we’re better equipped to make progress across the system. 🎧👇 Listen to the full conversation at the link in comments.

Energizing evening with partners and allies at San Francisco's 9th Annual YIMBY Action Gala! Saying “yes” to housing means addressing the full spectrum of need. That includes building more homes and creating pathways for people currently living outside to come indoors. Grateful to be part of a broader movement working toward more inclusive, abundant communities.
